funny how people go bustin a nut over water cooling and over clocking.
no one seems to remember that a sample dual core, much less a quad core plain with no shit done to it can run everything available now and for the next few years. there is just no reason to do all this when most people cant get all the power out of their system components with no bottle necks anywhere.

i really dislike extream OC cooling. I mean, where would some1 be able to use this at their home or work? never. if you want extreame cooling - use phase change. most overclockers out there use air or liquid still. i just find these competitions useless
Delus1on77, I think there is a place for pushing the extreme overclocking, for the same reason there's a place for building extremely fast cars: speed, power..fun. Pushing the envelope in order to witness the limits of current technology. It's also allows AMD to market both the versatility and affordability of their platform.
I agree that most 'power users' would never be doing this at home; they'd go for safer and more economically viable solutions, such as 'GPGPU' processing.
I have a question about Amd motherboard and processor. If I get a processor with a Hyper Transport of 3600MHz do I have to get a motherboard with a Hyper Transport about the same as the processor to take full adavange of the processor?
That means that you have an AM2 motherboard, which you can use with the Phenom 9600 but doing so would incur in a pretty bad power loss. I would strongly recommend that you get an AM2+ motherboard. They are pretty cheap on Newegg.
Cheapest AM2+ motherboards with 5200 M/T (from Newegg):
Thank you for replying! The motherboard I was looking at has a FSB 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s) it does say that it will support AM2+ processors. So the processor will work but I will not get my full power from the processor is that correct?
It does support AM2+ processors, but, like the new AM3 Ready/AM2+ motherboards, it doesn't support all the specifications. For example, if you use an AM2+/AM3 Ready motherboard you won't be able to use DDR3 RAM. Your motherboard is AM2+ Ready but not an AM2+ motherboard. Having said that, the Phenom 9600 will work but it will be restricted to 2000 M/T even though the processor is made to run at 3600 M/T. This will mean a power decrease of about 15-20% due to a highly decreased bandwidth.
That's an AM2 motherboard, which you must have mistaken for an AM2+ board. If it is an ASUS it will work though with a BIOS update. Though, I highly recommend you buy a Phenom II chip, they are much better fot the money. Even an X3 710 or 720 will be better than a 9600. Remember, the 9600 also suffers from a bug and in some cases the (auto) fix will make you lose 10-15 % of performance. Where do you live, (country) and how much do you have to spend?
That is very funny they are still using 3Dmark 05 and 06 but they got new components, prosessors, motherboards etc nearly every single day, but programms stay still same.
Epic respect to whoever made/mastered this video, They made all this shit look exciting! I mean I know it's awesome that they can clock it that high but when watching liquid is fun you know they're good
