F22A6: 140 hp (104.40 kW) @ 5600 rpm. The F22A6 is the same as the F22A1 except for a slightly more aggressive camshaft, a better flowing cast exhaust manifold, a different more aggressively tuned ECU (PT6), and a different intake manifold that utilizes IAB's and also has a bigger plenum. The F22A6 also has stiffer valve springs to accommodate the more aggressive camshaft.a intake manifold using IAB butterfly valves which open at 4600 rpm to increase air intake breathing at high rpm
i was wondering? do u think dsm t3 turbo manifold would also fit on f22a6? since the dsm 16g turbo manifold works.that would make it really go then! of course u would have to upgrade the piston, rods, etc

i bet if u went against a cb7 with a stock h22 in it. u would beat him. h22 has way to little torque. f22 has just as much torque as horse power. that way im not swapin my eng. plus it has stronger block.
so u can mix honda with eclipse parts. neat so this would be like a custom turbo setup. eclipses had turbo? how u get a hold of one?i would like to do this. would it be a good idea to put better pistons, rods, head gasket, etc just to be safe that i my f22a6 dont upchuck a rod or something.
hey dud how did the turbo fit right with the engine mount that is located to left(passenger) side? what about the fans, did you remove one of them? thanks
I just got another 14b turbo. im probably going back to the same setup real soon. because im in need of a car, and i dont want a accord that was known on the streets to be fast, be slow. so im going boost soon!
sleeved and bored to 87mm rebuilt org head used all bisi parts and lvl1.2 turbo cam will try to get a vid up when i am done it's on jack stands atm swapping to h22 trany org auto with 244k on it lasted about a week put 377hp 345tq im thinking from the dyno chart my trany is eating about 100+hp and 135tq you can see the slip on the chart new is stick
about 1500 miles. i had a ebay cam gear, and the bolts for the adjustment got loose and slipped timing, caused it to advance. almost killed the engine.
the f22 blocks is one of the most underated blocks honda built.. stock it has like 143hp and 147tq.. (the f22b1) soo these are def. turbo friendly! =)
Hey guys I just recently bought a 95 Accord Non V-Tec Now my Question is Can I Turbo it and will it be High Maintnance? Car has 118k Runs like a champ as is, I want it 2 run like Turboed Champ...... Lemme know az I dnt know shit bout these cars yet. Much appreciated.
as much as you want, but over 280hp you might want to run race gas constantly. theres a guy on cb7tuner with over 400hp on a stock 200+k motor running race gas all the time.
@NoWuse what make /model dsm works for f22? as you said the manifold/turbo/injectors...how many cc are the injectors and what is the benefit of running the dsm manifold other than the turbo bolting to it?
any 1g or 2g talon or eclipse. u need to redrill the bolt holes in the mani to fit it into the f22 studs. 450cc injectors. benifit? its cheaper. u could get a mani off ebay if you want, but the stock mani spools the turbo quicker
yea, after 2 turbos and two clutches. i spent 5 grand on the whole car. suspension, engine, turbo parts, labor for head rebuild. labor for exhaust work + exhaust and 450 for tuning. i beats b18 civic hatches like nothing. the only cars i couldnt beat was a evo8 pushing like 25psi and a sleeper eclipse, as soon as i saw the size of the front mount i knew he was running big. over pulls really hard
92-95 honda civic ecu. theres a chip in it that could be changed. so my tuner swap the chip and tuned it with uberdata program. next build im going to run a hondata ecu that way i could read the motor readings as im driving
i man great car i live in mexico and i have accord 93 and i want put a turbo my question is i have a dsm 1g manifull and i don't now is bolt on in the f22 thanks..
you have to redrill the wholes in the manifold. and you have to cut off the bolt holes from the front motor mount so that the turbo sits it. its a pain.
no. you have to redrill the manifold holes. then you have to cut off the front motor mount holes. its a pain. and you have to take a/c out. so in hot days, you sweat as you drive.
Nice car man, my dad has a old 1991 Honda Accord EX-R with a F22A6. When he gets a new car I'll get his car, any tips on what I should do to make it "faster"? I'm a noob at this kind of stuff lol.
That's a lot more than i can put into a car, considering i'm 16, but i think it's 5 grand well spent. By the way what internals did you replace/upgrade to handle the boost?
stock internals. they could handle 270 stock. and the block could handle 400hp stock. with a water/meth injection, you dont have to change any internals. because the water/meth mixture cools down the motor.
So its only turboed and you're getting that much power reliably? That's impressive. Do you think a rebuilt T25 or a used T3/T4 would be better? And is a water/meth injection cheaper than upgraded internals (stiffer valve springs and forged piston and rods)? Reason being i've never heard of water/meth injection being used in anything other than semis and it costing thousands.
yea. thanks. t25 is smaller than mines and t3/t4 would put out more power. not better than stiffer springs or forged pistons, but it keeps the temps down low. so you have a less chance of breaking parts. you only need stiffer valve springs if your reving high and forged pistons if you dont want a water meth kit. water meth has been around for a long time. the old semis used it to bump boost without hurting the motor.
a AEM water meth kit is only like $350. cheaper than sleeving the block and throwing in pistons and rods. sure you would think its more reliable, but your stock pistons are as good as forged ones when the motor is cold.
Sorry about the delay, I was on vacation. I had origionally thought they were more expensive. I'll start looking for kits and a T3/T4 online and locally once I find a suitable car for a project. I want to use full Internals with a water/meth kit and see what kind of numbers I can get. Thank you for all your help! Best of wishes with your car.
Remember, with H2O/Meth Injection, you need to have it constantly running or get a piggyback/standalone that can hold ample settings files so you can vary on and off of the H2O/Meth injection. Also, any little modifications for power require you to retune the infection settings.
I never thought of that. Kinda sounds like a pain in the rear but it'll all be worth it when its finally dialled in. My buddy has a '93 accord sedan with a F22B1 swap from a newer one i may pick up. It pulls but it needs mounts bad. lol These are great cars and i like seeing people take them places. Thanks again!
nice car, did you had to remove your front motor mount? or how did you put your turbo? because I'm helping my bro to install his turbo but the front motor mount won't let us install it. so can you give me some advise, what should I do>? should I take off the motor mount?
