  • NO FLYING CARS BUT VIDEO CALLING YES MAN WHAT ID DO 4 A HOVERBOARD

  • U CAN SHOW WHAT MARTY AND JENNIFER ARE LIKE NOW LATER ON IN LIFE IF HE HAS PARKINSONS THEY CAN WRITE IT INTO THE SCRIPT SINCE IN THE SECOND ONE MARTY HAD A BAD ACCIDENT MAYBE THEY CAN FOCUS MORE ON DOC AND 1 OF THERE KIDS OR EDIT IT WHEN HE CAN DO IT OK

  • HD Tv's and still no flying cars... Doesn't feel fair to me.

  • Lea Thompson has aged well also!

  • I think he not only discovered time travel, but the fountain of youth...

  • But DirecTV wasn't invented in 1955, so how would '55 Doc know about it?

  • Wha- ? His cut's on the wrong side of his face and not quite positioned correctly. I feel like I'm nitpicking, but it seems like a notable detail.

  • wait. HD existed in the 80's? O.O

  • i have direct tv... so what i put plutonium in it and i time travle?

  • let the series rest. Say no to a fourth!

  • If the Doc approves of DirectTV it must be good.

  • Surely there could be something in the idea of Doc arriving in the present and going on an adventure with Marty's teenage son? Obviously Fox, with medication, could reprise his role for an extended cameo at the beginning and end, maybe including him being invited along, but declining claiming to be busy/too old or whatever, and passing the torch on to his children.

  • @StraitKnopfler Or you could just play BTTF The Game?

  • REMAKE!!! Please! If only we could find a decent actor to replace Michael J. Fox and carry the film to its full potential.. sigh..

But Chris Lloyd could totally reprise his original role no problem.

  • Comment removed

  • Fuc@#$%^&*you direct tv!

  • @sariel234 I never noticed that!

  • lol no one notice that the bruise was on the wrong side

  • Wowww!!!! I loved it!!! Qué buena onda!!! =)

  • wooow!!! when was this shot???

  • cool

  • HOW DID HE KNOW ABOUT THE FUTURE?

  • What are the cinema movie channels called?

RE: The commercial that says they have movies

    a month before Netflix?

  • christopher lloyd doing this commercial was the only reason why i got DirectTv. good to know he hasnt lost touched with this character

  • "Great Scott... I forgot to tell Marty when he gets back to the future, don't forget to get direct tv!!!!"

  • This is as close as we'll get to back to the future 4

  • @xIegionx No, I'd say the ride is the closest, it had an original story set in the BTTF Universe.

  • @aoc97 This is the closest because this is Chris Lloyd's latest appearance as the Doc.

  • Its kinda funny that his real house burned down, like in the movie his old house burned down.

  • Christopher Lloyd Will NEVER DIE!!!!!

  • its a shame doc didn't know much about the future as he thought cause he would of know that today directv has a F by the BBB for lying and giving their customers misinformation and raising their bill and secretly giving them another commitment without their customers knowledge. yep i used to work for that greedy company.

  • If u look at the background of the footage from when he's talking to the camera, the clock or clock tower isn't there! It's sad that Universal had to remove such a iconic movie landmark!

  • @robotboy963 unless they used green sceen i dont know how that works out.

  • he looks the same!

  • haha his cut is on the wrong side!!

  • Haha, every commercial should be like this. 5 million stars.

  • You remember how we all thought by 2010 the world would be such an amazing place to live and in reality it has become in a hot , ice-melting, money-grabbing, racist, old-fashioned, fake-talking, politician driven, merciless, contaminated shit-hole?

  • it was 2015 but yeah pretty much lmao

  • @CamiloSanchez1979 You mean like 1985 was? :P

  • FAIL

  • Even after 25 years, they managed to make him look the same.

  • Back then they made him look older with all the makeup. Now you don't have to put anythin on him since he looks as old as his fictional character now! So it fits perfectly!

  • nah they went back to 1985 and picked up christopher and brought him back...

  • LOL.

  • I love this commercial..."How'd they do that?"

  • My favorite part is they went thru all that trouble making him up to look like Doc and the bump is on the wrong side of the head.

  • i love the fkn music lol

    i love this movie

  • Yes they went to the future are brought it into 1985

  • Haha I really do enjoy watching this.

  • Will the have Michael J Fox doing any commercials?

  • to bad he got parkinsons..

  • Michael J Fox has parkinsons, not Christopher Lloyd.

  • I know, but I commented an other persons post about MJF.

  • For some reason, Christopher Lloyd always looks older in other roles, but when ever he reprises doc, he never looks older then he did in the first film.

  • That's because he went to a rejuvenation clinic and had an all-natural overhall in 2015. Took out some wrinkles, had a hair repair, changed out his blood. It added a good 30-40 years to his life. Got a new colon too.

  • @spooieVAULT now here's someone thats knows his BTTF

  • @spooieVAULT And spleen, lol.

  • @spooieVAULT Don't forget, he replaced his spleen also.

  • i LOVE back to the FUTURE and i LOVE DOC!!!

  • i love how christopher lloyd is always up for reprising his role as doc brown

  • Me too!

  • Hey DirecTV, stop spending so much money making commercials, and get my f'ing satellite working!

  • i know! they sent 3 guys over cause a branch fell and hit our dish and instead of fixing it,they stood around talkin to my mom!

  • no kidding, and fricken over charge me by 50 bucks this month....

  • wow that was amazing Back to the future KICKS ASS!

  • 1.21 GIGAWATTS?

  • "what the hell is a gigawatt?!" lol, love this movie

  • Wow... it's like no time has passed at all. LOL So cool, I love this commercial.

  • Great Scott!

  • HAHAHA!!

    Great!

  • wiiiiii!!!!!!!!!

    dwsta 0la michael fox!!!!

  • Christopher Lloyd has aged excellent.

He doesn't look any different now than he did before.

  • @Riddler95

lol that's both a compliment and an insult

  • @Riddler95 Stage make-up helps.

  • @Riddler95 He has make up on.

  • I don't think they had HD in 1985..

  • Blame time travel

  • juts for two taste of t dit coke

  • lol dewd this commercial rox

  • This commercial's a paradox!

  • no, there is only one doc in the ad.

  • They put the bruise on his head on the wrong side...

  • Brilliant!

  • Beautiful

  • Why the Fuck do they advertise this way?

  • Because it's AWESOME!

  • no kidding

  • lol, i havent laugh so hard

  • Of course, if you really want to get technical, Doc is going against his protocol about not giving information about future events. If Marty knows about DirecTV, he could most likely take credit for it and alter the course of history.

  • Some of these posts are truly moronic. A *TON* of these DTV ads have scenes from films in the 80s long before DTV's existence. It's meant as a JOKE! And 1987?? What?? DTV wasn't available to the public until 1994, and didn't kill off the big dish until the late 90s.

  • Okay that doesn't make a whole lot of sense because anyone who has seen the movie knows that the year Doc is sending Marty to is 1985. Direct T.V did not exist in 1985

  • Yeah but in the future there is!

  • Chris has reprised his role as Doc for so many things-- I think that's really cool of him

There's only one Doc-- Long live Chris!

  • They HAVE to spoof ghostbusters at some point.

Vigo: "I don't want to possess a baby and take over the world. I just want to watch Direct TV."

  • ...Hey, didn't even think of that--that's an awesome idea! It has to have Mr. Stay Puft

  • Yeah it's just too bad the guy who played Vigo is dead.

  • wow didnt know that how did he die??

  • Must off fallen on his head again silly old Doc. DirecTv wasn't even released till 1987 so.. How sould Marty know and Doc? Weird commercial but BTTF is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wait, how does the Doc from 1955 know about DirecTV?

  • He can still play Doc, that's nuts.

Too bad about Michael J Fox. :/

  • Its settled then, Im getting DirecTV.

  • LOL!

  • which year was this commercial?

  • 2006.

  • BTTF hands down best movie series ever. nothing comes close

  • oh ya i remember this

  • U asshole

  • Sorry that didn't show up where I wanted it too.

  • sorry but i am stupid enough to believe thi i am not the creator of this shit =(

  • sorry but i am stupid enough to believe this i am not the creator of this text :(

  • Other than the guy he played in the TV show TAXI....Christopher Lloyd will ALWAYS be known as Doc Brown...Inventer of the Delorean...as the words...of Seth Rogen...from the movie Knocked UP....

  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

  • It's a great commercial, and I think it was brilliantly done. Doc did look a bit older, but that's to be expected.

It's true that Doc '55 hasn't time travelled, yet - so he wouldn't know about DirecTV HD. Also, that information would be of no use to Marty in 1985 - since there was no DirecTV HD then, either.

It's still brilliantly done, though - and you can't look too deeply into that. Maybe it's just a dream sequence that Doc had.

  • Why did someone mark my last post down! I never said anything negative about the ad! I was just saying it as it is!

  • I don't know. People are jerks.

  • it's your imagination lol

  • yeah he must of hit his head on the toilet again trying to hang a picture frame.

  • Or maybe he got a vision of it when he slipped and fell off his toilet.

    =]

  • LOL! Yeah, that could be possible! :)

  • To explain about the cut being filmed on the "wrong" side of the head, it was actually filmed correctly - and then they flipped it around. You can see that those buildings behind Doc are reversed.

  • There was no direct tv in 1985 great scott Marty

  • Yea, and how would Doc know anything about it in 1955?

  • He has a time machine and a kid from 1985 who also happens to... geez it's a movie!

  • LMAO!!! Yea, we know. It's just fun to nitpicK!

  • yea cant wait for 150!!

i think D* is at like 89 today..

  • How can this cause this many arguments.... Its just a commercial

  • how could they be so careless to put the cut on the wrong side of Doc's head??

  • The image is flipped.

  • I love this commercial, I wish they had shown Michael too..

  • Did also anyone notice that hair colour difference? His hair is brownish in the first shots, but then it's white.

  • So, what does this commercial urge you to?

    Not to buy Directv.

  • CL is king.

  • haha ,cool!

  • Wow, I can't believe his cut is on the wrong side of his forehead...

  • Michael should of been in this too, it would have made it even more rad.

  • so they can make commercials but they cant make bttf 4? wow

  • true dat. but look at the status of one of the actors..

  • America is the king of the world, even though there is an idiot leading us currently.

  • owensmouth shut up America ain't king of the world! Only vain self centred people would say that. America is what it is today due to the people that came into America. Ex English, Irsh, African etc. I will agree with one thing though, your leader an idiot.

  • I think flukes815 and owensmouth should both shut up! I mean, flukes815 should not be dissing another country - and owensmouth should not be acting arrogant about his own country! I think they BOTH need to have more tolerance for other countries!

  • This whole topic is hilarious!

    LMFAO!

  • LONG LIVE THA DOC!!!!

  • I also thought he looked basically the same, the hair was a bit shorter, but still the same look ad voice. They could easily pull BTTF 4, if Michaels would have not have that illness.Very Sad...this movie is pure legendary. And both Universal Studios removed everyhting this year about BTTF.Very dissopointing

  • Agreed that these movies are legendary, but removing the rides at Universal is a good thing, they were so old and very uncomfortable. I wish they had kept the DeLorean there but that got removed to :(

(by the way great commercial but cable is better!)

  • its still there its sitting on a street with other cars

  • the car is still there

  • Really cool commercial

  • Doc looks very old its depressing :(

    Im getting old

  • and 2015 just round the corner too - jeez its scary

    wheres my flying car anyways?

  • On a tour of Universal Studios, I heard that the makers of Back to the Future are going to meet in 2015 [at Universal] to see how close they came at predicting the future.

  • Well we won't have flying cars or hoverboards everywhere within 8 years.

  • And Michael aint black anymore...

  • what?

  • DAJ01, what the hell do you mean?

  • I'll give you a hint: there was more than one Michael J. depicted in the trilogy...

  • Oh.....thnx 4 tellinz me tht

  • Dude!!! I nnnnneeeeddd to find the Charlie SHeen Diretv commercial from Major League.... Now!! any ideas where I can find it??

  • F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C

  • That was incredible! He looks exactly the same!

  • i used to have comcast, it was sucky cause i bought a sony HD tv 1080p and ordered comcast hd and nothing of hd looked there was a cracked line in the center of the tv then i actually put on a movie then it acually looked good i got directv and it was really HD no lines lol

  • I'm sure they probably "blue screened" him on top of some old footage rather than re-creating all of that.

  • The Courthouse block scene has always been in place at the studio lot. All they needed to re-create was that where he makes the actual announcement. All the "Set" really consisted of was a coat, the ladder and the burning bits of wire. The rest like the Delorean, the lightning strike and Doc dancing in the flaming tracks was just footage from the movie edited in. Aside from Lloyd's salary and liscensing fees I imagine it was fairly inexpensive.

  • I agree with volumetwoholiday, lol. By the way, isn't artanisknarf backwards for franksinatra ?

  • you are one of the few geniuses out there.
