I could never get into these games, they got so boring and repetitive over time that I gave up. Never had any balance issues though, so perhaps I was playing it the wrong way? Didn't lose any games either. I tend to prefer rts such as Age of Empires etc.

Colonization is a different standalone game

The only expansions for Civilization 4 are Warlords and Beyond the Sword which add new content.

Its really a nice game! It is the same as the original, exept the graphics. Its like "old colonization" integrated in civ4.

So, I dont know if this "civ4 mod" is worth the money, but its surely a fine game!

@dunjak111 kinda, but is WAY HARDER than the original version coz in old Colonization you can have an army in a easy way and for the independence you have a opcional intervention from other european nation if you gather 2000 liberty bells (i played it too ^^)

basically, Civ 4: Colonization is by far, the coolest game compared with the original version, but also harder...

The game was such a disappointment, my biggest issue with it was the whole resource loss due to stockpiles overflowing.

I get what they did and hopefully they see it doesn't work so in the future we wont see any more of this type of gameplay.

I don't believe you can but since they pretty much act like any civilization in Civ IV, I'm sure it'd be easy to mod the game to enable it as a playable side.

Graphics have definitely received an update. The gameplay I wouldn't say is better but it's definitely different and you can't complain with the price either! :) Thanks for commenting!

The previous civilization games were a bit boring, this one seems to be more attractive, the music is entertaining, the design, gameplay, everything in fact.
