Having been a performance artist for several years myself, I can tell you one thing for sure. She is exhausted in this rehearsal. Definitely deserves thumbs up for all the hard work.

at 2:07 Nikki totally drowns her out with her voice and I think she gets upset? I always hated Nikki because she was always quick to sing louder than Madonna, yes, she has a better voice but she's backup, I think she was jealous of Madonna.

wow, that's an issue of the sound mixer turning her microphone up too loud, not of nikki purposely trying to "drown her out". i think madonna was "jealous" of nikki and donna.
This should sufficiently put to bed all the speculation on whether she can sing or not cuz' CLEARLY people she CAN and there is no stereo mix helping her out here MADONNA RULES!!!!
Um, she sang with varying degrees of backtracking because she had layringitis...at least she sang. Britney doesn't even backtrack, doesn't do anything she jus plain lypsynchs...unlike Madonna, who at least sings live as much as possible while dancing as much as possible...and takes breaks to sing ballads with no backup singers or whatsoever....

took ur advice and checked out the lovely lady kier as i too had never heard of her..thought she was sweet but thats it really,thing is theres a million trillion caberet artists like lady kier,sweet as she is though...

First time I heard/saw "express urself" was @ a big movie screen (truth or dare / in bed with Madonna) the message behind this song is so powerfull...
