I have one thing to say about this: it sucks. I didn't even read the book. The plot is stupid, the action is stupid the characters are bland, the effects are stupid, the villain is one of the worst that I ever saw, and the worst is Alexander ludwig. yeah. I hate him. I just hate that obnoxious acting of his, I hate the characters that he is and I think that they should stop doing stupid movies like this.

Having read the book this movie is based on, I can safely say that this is one of the worst mutilations of an adaptation in recent memory. The book felt chilling and mystical, as if you were stepping into a frozen dream in ancient Britain. This just felt like a cheap summer blockbuster released in autumn. :P It was not only a bad adaptation, but also cliche and dimwitted, like Spiderman meets Harry Potter. It has none of the book's intelligence or suspense, or even it's beautiful imagery.

It also doesn't help that Alexander Ludwig is a thoroughly unlikeable actor. The character he played was annoying enough, but Ludwig's bitchy and whiny performance just pissed me off. Even while I was watching I just wanted to throw him under the horse's hooves.

Movie is bad because of cliche and kitsch. As usual some ordinary kid suddenly gets special powers and becomes a hero. I mean it's so sucky I can't even laugh anymore.

Concerning anime, there are anime for kids and anime for grown up, like with the movies. Above all else manga is respected because of it's artistic value and originality in art style. I guess you can't even understand the meaning of that.
