good thing we can defend ourselves from the turks for 3 days :D the army of cyprus is pure defence and quiet frankly its a joke... i would like to add that cyprus is an independant country for all those who dont know and for all those dumb people who think cyp should be united with greece! we cannot defend the island for 3 days. we have 40 T-80 amd more than half of them need fixing!! we even dont have air force. the correct way to say is that Turks, in a general attack, with the ok of USA, Russians, Europe and Greece, will be busy for 3 days before marching through all of Cyprus. And about being a Cypriot and not Greek Cypriot, absolutely wrong. You can say, that you dont want a united Cyprus with Greece, but you cannot say you are not Greek.

Europe is not that important as you thougt for Turkey. Russia became 1st trade partner. Trade and investments shows more tights with Iran, Central Asian Turkish republics, India, Malaysia, USA and China than EU. In Europe we need only Germany, UK and Italy.. rest is useless for Turkey.

Besides we are in Customs Union since 1995, and all EU funds and student exchange programs received like a member. What is left is only free movement of workers (businessman, bureaucrats no need visa) and workers free movement is not needed hence the EU is in 10% jobless ratio. Plus.. we have already 4,5 million legit workers in EU.
So EU is not a good card against Turkey and not functions at all.

The only way you still want to keep the army in Cyprus is so that the army protects the turkish who illegally are in Cyprus atm.
Btw, do you know that increasing numbers of Turkish Cypriots pass the green line and find jobs in the FREE part of Cyprus ? That's what your army gives them... no future, and if it wasn't for us giving them jobs, you'd let them starve to death..!!

Actually Greece was about to declare war or counteract in some way (I'm not that clear on the topic myself either), because YOU invaded Imia, who told you about some "stupid priest"?? Try getting informed by some other sources apart your country's TV channels which are totally NOT democratic.
