I plan on buying Brazilian hair next week. The company says it will be dark- (1B or so)

so I I want to keep the hair for at least 6 to 8 months if possible. So to minimize damage, I want to highlight instead of dye the entire extentions.

@hairsugar how long does the honey blond color last, will it fade after a couple washes? i will be purchasing the texture and tones and try to lift my virgin brazilian hair how long do u think i should leave the color on? two bundles are a between a 1/1b and the third is a color 2

@fetishspell the color is permanent so it will last forever. It could fade over time but I haven't experienced any fading. Lifting Indian hair with color can take a long time (an hour or more). You could mix a little bleach in it to boost the time but you have to watch it closely. It could lift in just 2 or 3 minutes so keep watching it!

@michaela706 - coloring hair always strips it of some of it's moisture.  When I wore my extensions highlighted I doubled up on conditioner just to make sure it stayed as healthy as possible. Just be conservative with color, test out a few pieces and see how it works first. Don't leave the color or bleach on too too long. Conditioner is our best friend :)
