They should have looked closer for those opposeing views. Many of them were just religious people that say it's nonsense without addressing his real arguements. The best arguements against his case are the one's that he himself mentions having heard, (like exponential trends not lasting indefinantly etc) that the skeptics don't really mention in the documentary.
