  • Thanks man realy helpful..:)

  • I think UnpredictableProduct was referring to ADR that is sometimes used in post production. This is usually used when the location recordings of the dialogue were not captured cleanly (background noise was too present). It allows the post production crew to clean it up when original recordings cant be salvaged.

  • This was a really helpful video, thanks a ton!

    One question though (Please answer!):

Don't filmmakers usually record a "voice over" type thing after the footage is shot, and then replace the sound in the video with the actor's voice over for optimum quality sound? Or was this just a delusion to me...

    Thanks, in advance!

  • @UnpredictableProduct Hi there. Not all films have or need a voice over and even if a film does have a voice over its definitely not a replacement for the sound recorded on location. Voice over is normally used as further explanation for what is happening in a film when the on location sound / soundbites are not enough. Using or not using voice over is a stylistic choice, not a necessity. Hope that helps.

  • what external mic do you use?

  • where do you have all the videos from freecording?..do you produce them by your self?

    they are reallly great!!!!!
