@10HAPPYGILMORE I think for Phil it's really about the competitive aspect of those games. And to some extent he's right. If you watch a mk ur umvc3 tournament, it's really about getting one mixup and then doing a ridiculous combo to kill the opponent instantly. Personally I loved mortal kombat and especially the story mode.
@JesterOnCrack indeed......One quibble I have with his view is he missed the point of the newest MK is have fun with the game...and in my humble opinion MK does it in spades...it covers alot of bases...the story mode is one of the best in fighting games..the fighting engine is solid and has some depth......MK has boat load of stuff to unlock so you will not soon be bored...UMVC on the other hand is pretty lacking in quite a few departments...its flashy fun yes..but a bit shallow

The kinect stuff for ME3 is mostly voice commands which could quite possibly revolutionize squad based shooters IF it works. If not then dont use it. Simple as that
@RedHeadedKillah We have had mics and programs to use them for users with over 4000 people and 50-80 ms response compared to kinects very slow response.

Just don't use the kinect for ME 3. You won't like it and will blame ME3 for it. I've seen in many videos about it, people get mad, but BioWare is not making you USE the kinect. It's optional, you don't have to use it. So, I don't understand when ppl get mad about it.
After watching DSP's playthroughs for a over a year, the different games he's went through really opened my thoughts from a Shooter fanboy, to an open gamer. Wether it's Phoenix Wright, Call Of Duty, or Starcraft, just by watching DSP enjoy the game and going through it has made my taste in games alot bettter. PS: Good work DSP!

@MrUlutraman While I actually enjoyed Epic Mickey, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone who apparently shares my disdain for how ubiquitous the word "epic" has become as an adjective to describe anything that is even remotely pleasing to someone.
Unfortunately it sounds like Phil dismissed MK before understanding the deeper gameplay. All I did during his description was shake my head. The entire purpose of MK was to make a tournament worthy fighter. Combo breakers are apparently lost on Phil, among other things.

@Energyone That's because Phil has a huge bias towards new gen fighting games. Look at UMK3, a game with high damage combos, yet people in the mk community love it. No breakers, and the high tier in that list consisted of like 3 or 4 characters, one being banned from tournament play, yet phil dismisses this game as well as others because they're not super turbo.

Just don't use the kinect for ME 3. You won't like it and will blame ME3 for it. I've seen in many videos about it, people get mad, but BioWare is not making you USE the kinect. It's optional, you don't have to use it. So, I don't understand when ppl get mad about it.

After watching DSP's playthroughs for a over a year, the different games he's went through really opened my thoughts from a Shooter fanboy, to an open gamer. Wether it's Phoenix Wright, Call Of Duty, or Starcraft, just by watching DSP enjoy the game and going through it has made my taste in games alot bettter. PS: Good work DSP!

Unfortunately it sounds like Phil dismissed MK before understanding the deeper gameplay. All I did during his description was shake my head. The entire purpose of MK was to make a tournament worthy fighter. Combo breakers are apparently lost on Phil, among other things.

He never said he doesn't like the game at all, but he criticized it in a competitive sense, which he hasn't even touched the game on. He has no right to do that because he hasn't invested enough time to even form an opinion about it. Just because you do large damaging combos in a game doesn't mean it's a competitive mess.

@Energyone That's because Phil has a huge bias towards new gen fighting games. Look at UMK3, a game with high damage combos, yet people in the mk community love it. No breakers, and the high tier in that list consisted of like 3 or 4 characters, one being banned from tournament play, yet phil dismisses this game as well as others because they're not super turbo.
