@cyberslick18 the black market is quite healthy in that it is diversified, much more so than our old prohibition gangsters, they have markets that we can't even touch. Also while guns are legal in the US there is also a black market for those items. This is due to being able to bring them in cheaper than US manufacturers, drugs could fit in with this as well, especially heavier ones due to the cost of regulation of such a legal product like guns are in the US. I'm skeptical to say the least.

theyre not legalizing shit, drugs are brought in by the gov't. why would they legalize them and loose money. they bring illegal drugs in, the street drug dealers take the wrap and thats how its meant to work and nobody ever assumes that the real big pushers are the gov't. The market for drugs is quite literally millions of times larger than the market for sex trafficking. Yes, people like these would still exist, but the difference is there would be 1,000 of them rather than 500,000 like there are now.

@cyberslick18 the black market is quite healthy in that it is diversified, much more so than our old prohibition gangsters, they have markets that we can't even touch. Also while guns are legal in the US there is also a black market for those items. This is due to being able to bring them in cheaper than US manufacturers, drugs could fit in with this as well, especially heavier ones due to the cost of regulation of such a legal product like guns are in the US. I'm skeptical to say the least.

Marijuana use is very rapidly catching up to alcohol use. In the next century, it will very likely be more common to smoke marijuana after work than to drink a beer. People are stupid and afraid of change, but when you have literally the safest and cheapest drug on the market, who needs something as dangerous as alcohol.

The issue is people are killing each other on a massive scale over things that are arbitrarily illegal. THe amount of people that die yearly from alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, alcohol fueled crimes and liver cirrhosis is absolutely disturbing, yet other drugs with considerably less danger are.
