  • Well this piece as I know is actually a organ sonata composed by August Gottfried Ritter I think nr.3 in A dur as far as I heard....but you can find The Complete Sonatas of Ritter an Mdg recording made in Hermannstadt (Sibiu) Romania at a big Sauer organ with Ursula Philipi organist......

  • Cavaillé-Coll..... the best!

  • Widor worked here for more than 60 years...

  • What is the name of the music who is being played?

  • Not bad for a local Parish church, is it?

  • One the best organs in the world...

  • Daniel roth .

  • Saint Sulpice is not a cathedral, it's a church. Notre-Dame is the cathedral.

  • Um...no really the question is: "why can't American's have buildings like this?" There are plenty of decent organs still around/being built, but all the modern churches/auditoriums want carpeting, and a dead acoustic that is great for preachin', but which is horrible for sound.

  • building? check out St. John the Divine in New York City, the biggest cathedral in the world.

  • Hardly!

  • ugh too true...they design these buildings and walk in when its empty and deiced its too live and want carpeting and acoustic tile...forgetting what the hell its gonna sound like when its full of people...kills the sound and feelings

  • This Cavaillé-Coll has an incredible sound!

    Really amazing

  • Saint-Sulpice is not a cathedral - Notre Dame is the cathedral for the city of Paris

  • Thank you much, pomaint for your help. Only wish American had cathedrals and organs like this. Seems we want to demolish everything in this country after it becomes 50 years old.

  • "Wow! Very nice. How can one find cd's recorded in this church?"

Look at Amazon and search for Daniel Roth. The St. Sulpice organ is generally regarded as one of the finest in the world

  • Wow! Very nice. How can one find cd's recorded in this church?

  • St. Sulpice is not a cathedral it's a basilica.

  • supplice is better

  • Gosh. What an organ. Shame the video wasn't longer.

  • Dr. Phibes
