  • someone please tell me this is bullshit

  • I bet you can make a dot to dot out of anything!!! RUBBISH!

  • You are a cock! period!

  • This is fascinating stuff.

  • This is the dawning of the age of aquarius...

    See what I did there?

  • Wtf i was sitting here watching this and Im like watch its gonna be pisces that were in, my sign...and hold and behold.

  • Satan will do everything he can to convince you that he is not real.

  • There are other explanations of the correspondance of astrologoical themes with mythological ones besides the one given by Santillana in the tradition of Frobenius, although I do find it interesting and powerful. Jung made a career, and an immortal name for himself, following an alternate route that ties Fraser to Darwin , rather than Islamo-Christo-Judaism to Babylonian astrology. It's equally interesting, and powerful... And the Darwinian anchor should appeal to a modern skeptic.

  • @stmichael751 Since Horus was said to be the sky, he was considered to also contain the sun and moon. It became said that the sun was his right eye and the moon his left, and that they traversed the sky when he, a falcon, flew across it. Later, the reason that the moon was not as bright as the sun was explained by a tale, known as the contestings of Horus and Seth, originating as a metaphor for the conquest of Upper Egypt by Lower Egypt in about 3000 BC.

  • @stmichael751 : before you tell someone else to do research, you should yourself- especially when it is so easy to do. Ra and Horus are the same god, different languages. Just like the EGYPTIAN word Asar became Osiris in Latin, so did 'Ra in Egyptian become Horus in Latin. You first clue: any name with the suffix -us or -is in NOT an Egyptian word. Plus, just like the Romans slightly changed Greek gods' attributes, the Romans also altered Egyptians' gods. Take your own advice, christian.

  • I will prove that Christ is the son of God just like Paul did. Period.

  • @stmichael751 actualy, they BOTH have the head of a hawk, so it is understandable.

  • @stmichael751 - what a0eoj said. Several gods in egyptian history were merged, or their status changed, or what they represented changed. This was usually due to a change of Pharaohs. Egyptians were monotheistic at one point (one ruler fancied it), though the populous didn't like it very much and it quickly switched back when that Pharaoh was dethroned. the topic of egyptian gods is a complex one.

  • Its too bad not enough Christians ever see a good argument for atheism whether it be through the lack of evidence for the stories put forth by the Bible or the immoral actions of religions in general. But I know, until I saw religulous, I never saw a decent argument against Christianity and was conditioned to believe that faith was good and, by extension, a lack of it was bad and worthy of hellfire

  • This is a really cool series.

    On to part 3. ;-D

  • Is it true someone found Moses' remains with Sargon's birth certificate?

  • Are you kidding ? Mithra born on December 25, 1200 BC. That's what they say. I didn't know the Roman calendar existed then. If anyone who cares about objectivity checks any of their claims or facts they will be shocked to find out how loose they play with them.

  • marketwatch - So what if the "Roman calendar" didn't exist in 1200 BC?

Do you think there was a winter solstice in 1200 BC?

  • Comment removed

  • @a0eoj I agree that the video does seem to be bending the truth a little; even if it's not in reality. Calling the solstice Dec 25 instead of the winter solstice during the section marketwatch refers to does seem to be misleading. It also seems to equate Sun and son although the similarity in our language has some bearing on the ancient context. I agree that Jesus symbolises the sun but this implies more certainty than can be credibly given.

The video could be remade with a more objective tone.

  • @marketwatch101 Even if there was not 12 months... there was 12 constellations and each constellations is at it's peak for a period of time.

    It still works.

  • Religion is man made- enough said

  • Part 1 ---3,600 views

    Part 2 --- 1,800 views

    Part 3 --- 1,200 views

either people are learning quickly, or theyre tuning out the truth

  • The playlist is in decending order for some reason. So it's possible that people are starting with part 3.

  • stmichael - The fundamental Sky-Sun Gods of ancient Egypt were Osiris, Horus and Ra. Because of a very large span of time these and other gods flourished in Egypt, there is a considerable degree of overlap & permutation regarding their attributes and stories. Zeitgeist simply encapsulates the general characteristics of these ancient Egyptian gods under the title of Horus. The point of Zeitgeist is to show the similarities between Jewish-Greco-Roman Christianity and ancient Egyptian religion.

  • Magus - Ancient Greek mythology and astrotheology is well documented. Hercules role as a Sungod is widely accepted. Do you really think those ancient people just suddenly abandoned astrotheology for the story of Jesus? That's absurd! New religions always include parts of older religions. Murdock is just one of many authors that have made associations between christianity and astrotheology. If you'd pull your head out of Jesus's ass, you'd be able to see things much more clearly.

  • Magus - The fundamental Sky/Sun Gods of ancient Egypt were Osiris, Horus and Ra. Because of the very large span of time these and other gods flourished in Egypt there is a considerable degree of overlap & permutation regarding their attributes and stories. In regards to these complex permutaions, Zeitgeist has encapsulated the general characteristics simply under the title of "Horus". Charlatans like you should quit defaming Murdock because of the literary liberties depicted in Zeitgeist.

  • bored(andsmart) - I know what you mean; it's quite a circus.

  • Magus - Nice try, but intelligent people will recognize you as a religious charlatan. You can try to suppress the truth, but truth always wins. Jesus is just the fraud of the age.

  • Yeah religions would be funny if they weren't so god damned crazy. The GOD delusion causes people to make crazy rationalizations for the absurdities of their religious doctrine.

  • christianity is completely based on pagan religions they just don't want to admit it.

  • I can't believe you can still be a believer after this video.

  • burnthewitch: I know what you mean, but too many people simply reject anything that contradicts their beliefs.

  • I'm practicing Christianity like god commanded us, like jesus christ showed us too, just like Apostles kept it. One thing Pagan rome had to do first was kill disciples then kill all traces of God's work! Then change the order of things! And your mind brother, i hate to say it to you, has been brainwashed 2! Why? a)you watch all these videos,b)you were born long after them c)you are an atheist on what basis?. soon, you'll come face to face with the men behind the masks of the scientists you see.

  • simba9100: Do you understand what a myth is? If so, God is a myth just like fairies, leprechauns, and unicorns. If your God is so real and powerful, I dare HIM to strike me dead. Hmm, still breathing, I guess I was right. Your God is a weak pathetic myth.

  • type myths and you find this line in wikipedia-a very intelligent/credible sourse=====Most myths are set in a timeless past before recorded and critical history begins....let see! whats recorded history?

i will give you verses that have actual evidence throughout history!

  • simba9100: So, now you've resorted to word games? God is a myth! You're a joke! You sound like an aspiring preacher watching his money-train derail. Your God is only rotting your brain.

  • Gen 2:11 The name of the first is the Pishon;13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

  • simba9100: I don't give a fuck what it says in Genesis. The bible has got to be the biggest book of bullshit I've ever read.

  • My church is the Truth we don't have the cross!and you're right the cross isn't a symbol of christianity! early apostles never used the cross Pagan rome invented that! Woo! Jesus was prophesied in OT to come in clouds but he came in flesh, clouds in bible means flesh!Pagan rome dressed JC with the thorns in crucifiction!Thats why God had to take them from Egypt.

  • simba9100: It sounds like you're more familiar with Christianity than most Christians, although you still seem to ascribe a supernatural aspect to God and Jesus. God is a myth!
