I hope young hopefulls watched this video..not to attack Ms.Houston but to bring up the reality of what drugs can and will do to someone in time. I'm with you on the studio version vs a live version......but the live versions from the past year or 2 almost all sound like that.....Glasgow a little better, but still weak and in a lower key.............a mezzo soprano voice is typically at its strongest around age 45, so hers should not be that 'used up' just yet.

This isn't really fair.

1 - Your voice naturally starts to deteriorate with age.

2 - The first one was a studio version and the second one was live. More mistakes are made live and there can't be any editing.

3 - There are other recordings of Whitney singing this song live that don't sound near this bad.

1. Older singers like Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner can still belt it out, even though they may not have the same range as Whitney did in her prime.

2. If you watch Whitney's live performance from the AMA's in 1994, she had absolutely NO PROBLEM performing live.

3. This is her signature song. She should at least be able to give a half-decent performance live.

I love youtube, it lets daft wee kids (not pointing any elbows there) have a dig at the worlds greats, just because they can.
