Did the music in the intro and outro ever make it into a song and if so, is there a chance I could purchase it? I love the Asian sounding guitar samples.
@DubSpot I've been looking at them for a while now. I'm in finishing up my BA in business online right now. I think I am going to take the Digital DJ class this summer to see how I like them. If that goes well you can count me in for the dubspot ableton course
VERY NICE! This helped me a lot, I had heard about Beat Repeat in ableton live but haven't bothered learned it until now. Kind of wish I had (I've only been working in DAWs for a month) cause I could have had wayyyy more variation and what not in my songs. Oh well, it's better I learn it now then never, plus I can always go back and recreate tracks with this, etc. Thanks a ton. Always gotta learn new things everyday.
@DubSpot If you guys made a DubSpot Chicago, I would cry tears of joy, cause then I could commute to school instead of paying out the ass for an apartment in NYC hahahah

I WISH DUBSPOT WOULD TELL US WERE TO GET SOME DRUMS OR CREAT THEM MY DRUMS SUCK I HAVE CHORD AND SICK DRUMLINES BUT THE DRUMS ARE ETHER WEAK OR JUST NOT VIBEIN
@fieldhockeygoalie JEA BUT I HATE THAT, THEY USUALY DONT SOUND AS GOOD AND WERE WOULD I FIND THESE PACKS? I HAVE SUITE 8 AND DOWNLOADED ALL THERE DRUM PACKS
@BLAZE45 well what genre of music are u trying to make? just search the name with 'sample packs' after it in google, dont bother using ableton's preset stuff. after that its all about layering the drums to get a thicker more well rounded sound and then using filters and eq 8 to make final adjustments
@fieldhockeygoalie RIGHT NOW IM DOING TRIP-HOP,TRYING TO SOUND LIKE PORTISHEAD AND TRICKY ,I DO HOUSE BUT I HAVE A BUNCH OF DRUMS FOR THAT JUST NONE FOR TRIP-HOP OR HIP

Excellent tutorial. Very clearly explained in a really logical order.

Very cool. Best beat repeat tutorial I've seen. Watched a few other ones and this one explains all the controls and how to use them with precision.

@fieldhockeygoalie Layering drums more often than not causes conflicting frequencies that cancel each other out and result in a weaker signal.
