There are a lot of older students here, people who tried college and it didn't work for them. Watch "What makes MUM unique?" Because everyone here is meditating and growing as a person, they recognize that in everyone around them, and so there's a great feeling of acceptance.

You might want to go on our website (link is up to the right of the video window)& contact one of our Admissions Counselors. They can answer your questions, and maybe put you in contact with one of our older students.

hello Frida!....I presently am a student at this university and am 33. I thought for sure I'd be the oldest student but you'd be surprised! I have classmates and friends who are in their teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's and even 60's! everyone just seems to fit in perfectly!

Yeah, all of us in the video are MUM students. it really is a different school, and that's what makes it great. The focus isn't just on cramming information into your head, it's about developing your self so you can do what you want to do.

@MaharishiUniversity It seems like the work load is really light though? The students view it as a way to learn the subject better, but i believe the brain can adapt to different subjects at one time.

It's not stressful but it's challenging. If you're going to learn the subject, then you've got to put in the effort and the time. Nothing can change that. But we can make it less stressful and more meaningful.

Yes, the brain adapts to learning different subjects, but we find it's more effective to focus on one subject at a time. And if the brain is stressed/fatigued, the frontal lobes turn off and you can't learn well or think deeply. You might want to watch "What's missing from education?"
