I think this video is a tad harsh. I think there is a large difference between jest and offence. I'm a gay man myself and I probably make more gay jokes than any of my friends. okay to this poster. a "fag" has been a term that has been in use for longer than the gay community has been "officially out". Right now your just picking on history at this point to make sure your agenda is heard. And while we're at it, why not talk about the discrimination red heads face in Britain? People have been killed for simply being a red head and bullied so bad they couldn't attend school any longer. So gays are not the only people suffering because one thing in their life.

i live in oxnard, i know the shooter's older brother, , the kid wasnt shot becuz he was gay, he was shot becuz he was a bully. he sexualy harrassed boys, the school administration looked the other way BCUZ he was gay, he was constantly pushing the enevelope on what he could get away with, and brandon finally snapped. it wasnt right that he was killed, and brandon should do the time for it.. but dont be tricked into thinking it was becuz he was gay becuz thats not true

@hustledaily1 While that may be a possibility, another is that any form of solicitation from a gay person is often seen as harassment, simply because the solicited don't share the same "interests" as the solicitor. Unless the boy was using overt sexual language or perpetrating sexual contact from a superior position brought on either by status or physical prowess, with those unwilling to make such contact, it was not sexual harassment.

@skyerune trust me it was harrasment. he used to grab kids asses in the boys bathroom, he used to try to hold brandon's hand in public knowing that brandon wasnt gay. he even used to dress up wearing the same clothes as brandon just to mess with him,etc. and if he was doing this to girls u kno the school administration would have put a stop to it quickly but becuz he was gay they were hesitant to do anything about it. if they wouldve put a stop to it this couldve been prevented.readaboutthecase.

@damienbeowulf i never said i dont like gay ppl. i got a couple gay friends, no biggie. and i only listed a few of the things this kid used to do, theres alot more. if u wanna kno more about the case u can read up on it, im not gonna type it all out. and to add to wut u were saying its one thing to play slapass in the lockerroom its a completely different situation when a kid is constantly touching other kids inappropriately without their consent, gay or not

This is ludicrous. Blame this kid's death on a guy telling a joke. And what about the kid himself, wearing makeup and nail polish to school when he knew this was going to get him targeted by other kids? When does common sense come into play as a requirement? Or why didn't the adults in this confused, twisted kid's life tell him 'Dude, you can't wear makeup and nail polish to school and hit on your male classmates; it just won't go over well'?

From what I've read, the kid who got shot had been taunting the guy. I'm sorry but THAT is not right; it's sexual harassment. People say that gays shouldn't be harassed, but the same doesn't apply if you're heteosexual? Just because someone is gay, they have the right to harass and taunt others? Why the double standard? Just because you're a masculine heterosexual male, you're not entitled to go to school in peace, free of harassment? It's a two-way street.

I think this video is a tad harsh. I think there is a large difference between jest and offence. I'm a gay man myself and I probably make more gay jokes than any of my friends. Does that mean I'm homophobic? Of course not. It is clear when someone is being lighthearted and when someone is being intentionally offensive. I believe the joke displayed in this video was lighthearted. I certainly wasn't offended or threatened by it.
