  • teach us how sensei

  • fail

  • not bad double lifts were a little off though

  • WOW

  • Woah I never seen this routine before. But at the end when you switched the Ace into a king you should probable do something a little mit more visualer like a drop change or even a shape shifter. Catch what I am saying? But still that was an awesome routine I never seen done before!

  • hmm did you palm the card once lol just asking since i couldn't really see and because there were 3 "aces" on the table, it somehow turned four and i think its when you flipped it face up, you put the other spade card on the bottom

  • It's a secret. :)

  • i'm a magician and i think wat u have some good points! but gamblers shouldnt cheat. u have been blessed with a talent and you should use it to entertain! and not use it to trick people into giving you money without earning it! and the fact is it isn't even the difference between a magician and a gambler, its a magician and a cheat! a gambler has as much chance at winning a pot that everyone else on the table has!

  • Bob, I hope you're kidding. I was performing a magic trick. Gambler vs. Magician is a plot in card magic that is as old as card magic itself. I don't cheat or trick people into giving me money. I'm a magician doing a magic trick using patter about gamblers and magicians to keep the flow of the trick going.

  • Im impressed, I like the effect except you should make a bigger deal out of the fact that it was a royal flush and thats why gamblers win, some people might not get exactly what happened because you kind of seem to end it a bit abruptly. Regardless though, nice trick, well performed.

  • TFly - Thanks for the feedback. You're right about the ending... You know how that goes: Every performance you forget something or you rush something or don't emphasize something you should have. It's been quite an eye opener to watch myself on video.

  • Just a small point, I know there's nothing going on off camera but sometimes you take the cards out of view, it could seem to a lay person that you're using this time to fix the deck or interfere with it off camera, just thought if you could avoid this it would stop a lot of accusations from lay people watching your vids. Great trick though, dealing the second ace from the bottom could be a little smoother I thought but apart from that keep it up!

  • Thanks for the constructive feedback. You're absolutely right about the bottom ace. I shot these effects about 2 years ago, and just recently edited them and posted them.

I had originally never intended to posts these videos online, so any of the problems weren't a big deal since the DVD was going to expose/teach the effect anyway.

We learned a lot in this video shoot, though, and I've learned a lot from constructive comments like yours, so again, thank you.

  • By the way, I think you should take time to learn how to get a break, because the way you do it is very obvious, even to a lay man.

But in the end, it is a great compilation of different sleights. Performing them in front of lay men means getting some free drinks, I suppose ^^

  • Thanks for the feedback. I'll be the first to admit that my skill level is not the most amazing. However, my audience interaction is; also, consider the fact that I don't normally get my breaks while a close up camera is pointed directly at my hands. Don't get me wrong, we can always improve, but this is just one area that I don't really care to work on because I'm more interested in my rapport with the audience.

  • In fact, in front of a camera it is way different, than in front of an audience. So you are probably right!

  • Thanks for the post. I will admit, however, that when I started watching my videos, I was quite surprised at how much room there is for improvement.

  • The first ace you recovered use a prett obvious sleight, but the rest were well done.

  • mbrinton,

Thanks for the feedback. You are correct; it does use an obvious sleight. However, it's not obvious to lay people, only magicians. Most card moves are obvious to magicians, but they still fry lay people.

  • pretty cool
