I just want to say something from my own personal experience. For six years I've lived in a house with skylights and slept without any blinds on them. Therefore I am very familiar with the way the sunlight and moonlight tracks across the sky/room. The bright full moon was a menace because it shone right in my eyes at a certain time each night. Recently, before reading on the Net about this, I kept thinking, I'm sure the position of the sun and moon in the room has changed! Still not sure!
According to the Alaskan Research Center, our North Pole has been shifting toward Russia at the rate of 9 foot per year for couple years now. What is THAT all about? Does it have something to do with the 'air-wave' that hit us? Is that what caused the 'wobble' in the Earth? Does it have something to do with China bombing the moon for the last 6 years? WE (America) started bombing the moon when China found ice crystals and silver. Could the moon have shifted, causing that air-wave?
The music was from "The 5th Element" with Milia Jovanovich and Bruce Willis. Any way, one can say we see these things increasing in frequency simply because of the internet and are aware of them more now. That may be true, BUT I do take that into account when I form my opinion that they are indeed increasing. Things happening that have not occured in a very long time and more often. The extreme earthquake here in Japan for one on March 11-11 was preceed by a volcano eruption in Feb.
personally i think ..its only an opinion mind you that the sun caused the tsunami in japan because of the solar flares we had and the major tsunami may have caused the earth to tilt making the moon look different it sure looks different here in uk loads of people have mentioned it....but its just an opinion and if it has tilted im not sure what it means for us but i think in 2012 we are about to witness something major more tsunamis who knows god bless be safe people
Screw all this. This is Scotland it is the middle of winter for us, just went outside and had to take my jacket off, too warm.... it doesnt matter which way round the moon is , the segmented moon that you see is just the suns light hits it. get a ball, infront of a lamp, keep the ball in the smae place but roteate it any which way and the light (sun) will hit the ball (moon) in the same place. the light wont move with the ball ! and how can somthing tilt in space? if earth changed pattern, then surely we would either gain a small amount of time , or lose it ? eg- 363 days of year - 366 days of year? hard 2 explain i guess
Change is definitely happening. Many things are ...odd. Rather than teach us what is happening, our gov't. prefers to lie to us... so who knows the 'why', but the earth, moon, planets are definitely changing. Come back to me in June/July and tell me your garden is still in shade, mine is the same during winter and it never dries out either. The Earth is tilted 23.45 degrees off it's axis so when the northern hemisphere is in winter the southern hemisphere has it's summer, then, visa versa.
Hence, the lower Sun and longer shadow's, mm (elimem) my arse!

the tilt of the earth is a natural wobble that occurs as earth trys to regulate sun/heat exposure over its surface. the moon also fluctuates in its orbit, so its normal and nothing to be alarmed over. earthquakes happen quite a lot and there has been speculation over the moons position in conjuction with tsunamis, it hasnt been proved yet. but isnt it an eye opener how mean people can be over a simple video.

@saffnpepa The earths axis HAS tilted & it has been noticeable in lots of ways. In our case, a part of our back yard where we've used as a garden area for years is now in shadows, so can no longer plant there.

Don't you people realize that the moon appears "upside down" to people in the southern hemisphere? Moon phase charts like the one in the beginning of this vid. Such charts are NOT intended to show the orientation of the moon in the sky, which is different for different times and places. There is nothing wrong with the moon and Earth is NOT abnormally "tilted".
@toiwin No, it's not "still like that" because it changes constantly. It is called "field rotation" and is caused by observing objects in the sky from a rotating Earth. It's normal. The constellations do exactly the same thing. Just watch them for a few hours and you will see it any night you care to look.

@sumstuff46 The sun is rising exactly where it should. It depends on your location. It will continue to rise further south until the winter solstice- then it will move back north again. It's completely normal. If the sun isn't where it should be, then why did the ancient monuments mark it to be right where it should be on the major dates. Get a clue. Maybe take an astronomy class.

The earth is tilting... it does't mean it's the end of the world. Just means the earth is changing. The earth has a third movement, not just the 24 hour spin, and the 365 days spin. The earth also has a third spin, in which tilts upwards. it means that every 10,000 years or so, the earth gives a full spin upside down. About half way through the north will be in the south, and vice versa, when the spin is complete, the land mass will be all changed. hence the recent activity in natural disasters.

ok, just to inform you, and hopefully set your mind at ease, the moon doesn't revolve around the earth in a perfect circle, this means that the moon doesn't end up after a cycle at the same place where it started of from.
Now what you see is just the moon on a different location, this doesn't mean the earth tilts. I like your thinking, it reminds me of my first logical thinking about the moons disposition. It inspired me to study things like astronomy and physics, perhaps you wil too, soon?

I don't think the problem you experience with some comments is because you offer an opinion or theory. The fact is the earth has been in a tilt for as long as we've kept records, at 23.5 degrees (or thereabouts). It appears that you run into negative responses because your title is misleading. This could be easily rectified if you chose to be more specific and had scientific data to back up your claims. Keep on pushin' on, my friend. :)
The Indonesian earthquake altered our rotational axis by less than 1 degree, we do tilt on this axis & have done through time. This is shown by the positioning of the pyramids in relation to Orion's belt, it's no longer aligned perfectly as it was when they were built. I commented earlier this year on the path of the sun across my garden, it HAS changed, not enough to be obvious, but the greenhouse I built to be in full sunlight from sunrise to late pm is not in full sunlight at sunrise or late

1:52 the main thing to realize is that if the world were tilted off its axis the Sun and planets would no longer travel along the ecliptic plane. Since they do still travel the ecliptic plane, the same as they always have, there is no tilt.
1:52 shows how the moon should look. When they display those pictures its shown as crescent, full, etc etc all on the same angle. However this is NOT how it actually appears in the sky. The crescent effect or wax effect is predicated on what season it is. It is ALWAYS angled towards the Sun. The rotational axis of the Earth is tilted naturally, always has been. The examples you are showing are astronomical examples not ACTUAL examples.

Star charts would no longer work. The ecliptic plane would no longer be in the same location, the Sun would no longer move across our sky in the same location.

The Moon never looks like you presented it first. Earth is on 23degrees and the Moon is within our plane of rotation. The Sun is never perpendicular to the orbit of the Moon.

That is normal. If you were able to see the waxing crescent moon without the Sun's glare during mid day, you would see it oriented the way that you would expect. It's all based on the viewer's perspective. There is nothing wrong with the moon :)

If the Earth were effected by the gravity of another celestial body, there would be a "bulging" of the gravitational "well" the Earth nests within toward that celestial body. If the Earth is lower than the normal ecliptic, the angle between Sun and Earth/Moon would change the Moon's light to a cap (sunlight shining over the Earth at a higher Moon) If the Earth is higher, a smiley (sunlight shining under the Earth at a lower Moon) Either way, Earth's position in the ecliptic plane is altered.

You understand nothing about the motion of the Moon across the sky and how it changes with respect to your horizon. The theoretical views of what the Moon 'should look like' are based on when the Moon in on your local meridian. Your actual photos of the crescent and waxing gibbous phase are taken with the Moon near setting in the west sky. Of course it's going to appear rotated. It's been happening for a few billion years now. The constellations do the same thing. Try following Orion some night

If you believe in Physics, then the simple fact that we have taken objects such as space craft and people (mass) off this planet, and put them on the moon, will, to some tiny tiny extent, change the blance which has kept everything the same for so long.

I have a app on my phone that calculates the tilt of the moon at which ever phase and i can tell you that it is perfectly normal for the moon to tilt as it moves through phases, although it may be more tilted now that before, i also saw it at a strange angle which seemed unusual to me
Also check out Cornell University's recent paper on the anomalies of the the moon's orbit. They offer a suggestion that it might be due to a large mass approaching our solar system...
I just want to say something from my own personal experience. For six years I've lived in a house with skylights and slept without any blinds on them. Therefore I am very familiar with the way the sunlight and moonlight tracks across the sky/room. The bright full moon was a menace because it shone right in my eyes at a certain time each night. Recently, before reading on the Net about this, I kept thinking, I'm sure the position of the sun and moon in the room has changed! Still not sure!

According to the Alaskan Research Center, our North Pole has been shifting toward Russia at the rate of 9 foot per year for couple years now. What is THAT all about? Any way, one can say we see these things increasing in frequency simply because of the internet and are aware of them more now. That may be true, BUT I do take that into account when I form my opinion that they are indeed increasing. Things happening that have not occured in a very long time and more often. The extreme earthquake here in Japan for one on March 11-11 was preceed by a volcano eruption in Feb.

it doesnt matter which way round the moon is , the segmented moon that you see is just the suns light hits it. get a ball, infront of a lamp, keep the ball in the smae place but roteate it any which way and the light (sun) will hit the ball (moon) in the same place. the light wont move with the ball ! and how can somthing tilt in space? if earth changed pattern, then surely we would either gain a small amount of time , or lose it ? eg- 363 days of year - 366 days of year? hard 2 explain i guess

Change is definitely happening. Many things are ...odd. Rather than teach us what is happening, our gov't. prefers to lie to us... so who knows the 'why', but the earth, moon, planets are definitely changing. Come back to me in June/July and tell me your garden is still in shade, mine is the same during winter and it never dries out either. The Earth is tilted 23.45 degrees off it's axis so when the northern hemisphere is in winter the southern hemisphere has it's summer, then, visa versa.
Hence, the lower Sun and longer shadow's, mm (elimem) my arse!

the tilt of the earth is a natural wobble that occurs as earth trys to regulate sun/heat exposure over its surface. the moon also fluctuates in its orbit, so its normal and nothing to be alarmed over. earthquakes happen quite a lot and there has been speculation over the moons position in conjuction with tsunamis, it hasnt been proved yet. but isnt it an eye opener how mean people can be over a simple video.

We always used to see the milky way throughout the year but its all gone now. Don't you people realize that the moon appears "upside down" to people in the southern hemisphere? Moon phase charts like the one in the beginning of this vid. Such charts are NOT intended to show the orientation of the moon in the sky, which is different for different times and places. There is nothing wrong with the moon and Earth is NOT abnormally "tilted".

@toiwin No, it's not "still like that" because it changes constantly. It is called "field rotation" and is caused by observing objects in the sky from a rotating Earth. It's normal. The constellations do exactly the same thing. Just watch them for a few hours and you will see it any night you care to look.

Also a mention was made about the so-called Nibiru, if it doesn't exist why has the US Government built an Infre-red tracking station in Antartica looking due South so they can track it, It passes by Earth 4 times every 25,776 years and if you count back you will find major world events that coincide with its passing. You may remember back to the start of this year when 1,000's of birds fell from the sky, 10,000's of fish washed up dead. No known reason was ever given. This is when the earths axis started shifting from its 23.5 degree tilt to its now approx 41 degree. As a result wildlife were tragically affected.

The earth is tilting... it does't mean it's the end of the world. Just means the earth is changing. The earth has a third movement, not just the 24 hour spin, and the 365 days spin. The earth also has a third spin, in which tilts upwards. it means that every 10,000 years or so, the earth gives a full spin upside down. About half way through the north will be in the south, and vice versa, when the spin is complete, the land mass will be all changed. hence the recent activity in natural disasters.

ok, just to inform you, and hopefully set your mind at ease, the moon doesn't revolve around the earth in a perfect circle, this means that the moon doesn't end up after a cycle at the same place where it started of from.
Now what you see is just the moon on a different location, this doesn't mean the earth tilts. I like your thinking, it reminds me of my first logical thinking about the moons disposition. It inspired me to study things like astronomy and physics, perhaps you wil too, soon?

I don't think the problem you experience with some comments is because you offer an opinion or theory. The fact is the earth has been in a tilt for as long as we've kept records, at 23.5 degrees (or thereabouts). It appears that you run into negative responses because your title is misleading. The Indonesian earthquake altered our rotational axis by less than 1 degree, we do tilt on this axis & have done through time. This is shown by the positioning of the pyramids in relation to Orion's belt, it's no longer aligned perfectly as it was when they were built. I commented earlier this year on the path of the sun across my garden, it HAS changed, not enough to be obvious, but the greenhouse I built to be in full sunlight from sunrise to late pm is not in full sunlight at sunrise or late

1:52 the main thing to realize is that if the world were tilted off its axis the Sun and planets would no longer travel along the ecliptic plane. Since they do still travel the ecliptic plane, the same as they always have, there is no tilt.

1:52 shows how the moon should look. When they display those pictures its shown as crescent, full, etc etc all on the same angle. However this is NOT how it actually appears in the sky. The crescent effect or wax effect is predicated on what season it is. It is ALWAYS angled towards the Sun. The rotational axis of the Earth is tilted naturally, always has been. The examples you are showing are astronomical examples not ACTUAL examples.

Star charts would no longer work. The ecliptic plane would no longer be in the same location, the Sun would no longer move across our sky in the same location.
Then physics. The Earth CANT tilt except with massive force. The rotational axis (physical tilt) cannot change, the magnetic pole can and always has wandered

The Moon never looks like you presented it first. Earth is on 23degrees and the Moon is within our plane of rotation. The Sun is never perpendicular to the orbit of the Moon.

Okay, I stopped this video at 1:50. The final couple of words was "animal disorientation". When I took my basic science class a few years ago (1995 or so), humans are animals. That is normal. If you were able to see the waxing crescent moon without the Sun's glare during mid day, you would see it oriented the way that you would expect. It's all based on the viewer's perspective. There is nothing wrong with the moon :)

If the Earth were effected by the gravity of another celestial body, there would be a "bulging" of the gravitational "well" the Earth nests within toward that celestial body. If the Earth is lower than the normal ecliptic, the angle between Sun and Earth/Moon would change the Moon's light to a cap (sunlight shining over the Earth at a higher Moon) If the Earth is higher, a smiley (sunlight shining under the Earth at a lower Moon) Either way, Earth's position in the ecliptic plane is altered.

You understand nothing about the motion of the Moon across the sky and how it changes with respect to your horizon. The theoretical views of what the Moon 'should look like' are based on when the Moon in on your local meridian. Your actual photos of the crescent and waxing gibbous phase are taken with the Moon near setting in the west sky. Of course it's going to appear rotated. It's been happening for a few billion years now. The constellations do the same thing. Try following Orion some night

JPL originally showed the alignment after next to be on 11/11/11 instead of the 11/20/11 it shows now. which means that instead of the 27th to 29th, the next one would be oct 5th through 7th. No one expecting it, since even the ones that observed b4 are confused..

If you believe in Physics, then the simple fact that we have taken objects such as space craft and people (mass) off this planet, and put them on the moon, will, to some tiny tiny extent, change the blance which has kept everything the same for so long.
After SOME period of time (whether thats days, or millenia), this WILL have an effect.
We have also chucked a lot of stuff out into space !

I have a app on my phone that calculates the tilt of the moon at which ever phase and i can tell you that it is perfectly normal for the moon to tilt as it moves through phases, although it may be more tilted now that before, i also saw it at a strange angle which seemed unusual to me
