In 83 Prince and The Time came to Denver for a concert earlier that day they came to our high school and ran through it with girls goin crazy. • 8:25 Prince with an italian accent. lol

  • takes me back to my high school days back in the early 80s. The Time & Prince were the bad boys of r & b. don't think there is any young artist out there now that comes even close.

  • @8283doc

    I think you are right!

Nothing out there today like music back then!

  • Their music sounds better then the music that is out today. And songs from this era actually had meaning and understanding.

  • i do i look? almost as good as me! classic. maurice whos the lovely lady introduce us! i introduce you to a headache if you dont get out my face! they dont make songs like these anymore.

  • This music is fun and you can understand what they are saying.

  • Prince playing all the instruments on this......

  • 5 people must be in wheelchairs

  • DAMMMMM LET ME GET OUT MY BAGGIES............ATTENTION YOUNG FOLKS THIS IS REAL SWAGGER

  • Comment removed

  • @mrtlc666 If these kids really knew what letting your pants hang off your ass really means they wouldn't do it. People can say what they want but it means your a fag or a punk in prison.

  • DAMMMMM LET ME GET OUT MY BAGGIES............

  • this is the shit

  • That picture is priceless! LOL Morris Day is the shit!

  • this is music..

  • at the end of the song morris says "meet me at the bar in 32 measures"....where is the rest of this song. There's got to be a full version of this somewhere

  • Brings me back to the good ol' days, in the 80's! This was the hit, you'd have some drinks, dance with your lady/ladies. And just get down at the very end, oh YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Germany and your clubs in the 80's, I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!

  • i'm 19 years old right now. i wish i was this age when this music was out. unfortunately, i'm stuck with the justin bieber era.

  • @armzama ..HAHAHAHHA!!! I'm sooo sorry!!! WE JAMMMED!!

  • @armzama i'm 16 and i feel the same way

  • @armzama lol

  • @armzama Hang in their, I grew up in the early 90's and even the rap and all the other music genres. of today sound way different from the snoop doggs, biggie's, and nirvana's.

  • @joshua626 yeah, but remember, the 90's was also the time of the spice girls, the n'syncs, and the back street boys. and today is the era of the talib kwellis, the ken starrs, and the oteps... generations have always had their great music and their terrible music, and the older generations always believed their's was the better one. Its all in perspective

  • @armzama exactly..im 16..i feel kinda sick to be in 2011..

It just ain't like it used to be anymore..

  • @armzama true, this is the bieber era now... but u gotta acknowledge we still got some good soul music coming out today too. just look at artists and bands like, Raphael Saadiq, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Kindred the Family Soul, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, The Roots, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and other great artists keeping R&B and Soul music alive today... I'm 19 too and I'm actually pretty proud to be apart of this generation... Morris Day did have a lot of Swag tho, I'll give u that

  • @DrStu2 Yeah, good music's definitely out there, you just gotta dig for it. Destroyer is pretty chilled out/jazzy, weird considering the name, but another example of a great band that's hard to come by in this era. I don't think it's beyond suggesting you might like them.

  • @armzama why u gotta pick on the lil kid.....why not these wack ass rappers

  • @armzama Not really, your only stuck with it if you want to be stuck with it, make the change, start something new or bring back something old, trust me its easy, people are always looking for someone to follow and a new or brought back trend ; )

  • @armzama I was just a baby when this came out!!!! First time I heard this song was around 2002!!! Lovin' this song ever since!!!!

  • @armzama Whas a Beeber???? @Ozzy: Gotta love that one!

  • @armzama I feel ya! I am the same age, and I can stand this BS music!!

  • @armzama I Feel Ya, I remember my dad having this album back in 84-85 I was 4 I used to jam the shit out this album.

  • @armzama straight up homie, I'm 3 years younger than you..and your ooh the words out of my mouth..i wish i had a time machine

  • @armzama you took*

  • @armzama in 20 years time people will say the same about justin beiber. "i was i was this age wen justin beiber was big coz now im stuck with the robotic t-mac 6 era"

robotic t-mac 6, anyone think that name will take off?

  • @armzama You poor thing.

  • @armzama haha i feel for ya, kid- the 80's was a great decade to be of age in!

glad to see that you've got good musical taste!

  • @armzama i'm sorry 4 u...really! but your generation CAN CHANGE IT...just support real music by listening to it...only thing that works...!

  • morris is my facebook friend

  • Morris Day looks like Cameo on this picture

  • The Time Live in concert dvd...hit me up

  • no drum machines no pro tools just pure talent

  • In high school, Day was in a band with Prince and André Cymone and the trio formed an early band managed by Day's mother called "Grand Central," later renamed "Champagne." Later, Prince embarked on a solo career but retained Cymone for his backing band.

  • Most of their songs had a dance to it...Walk,Jungle Love, the Bird and Oak Tree. I spent a lot time in the club just doing dances I learned from The Time.

  • just let it ride the fact im a fan of Morris Day ooppiipqjjcckI and you are too so...

  • ooppiipqjjccrkI no your not right the only thing you are is a popcorn fart

  • Morris' laugh is classic!
