バックハウスの演奏を評して｢ベートーヴェンが鳴っている｣と言­うのが最も適した表現であると思う。特にこの４番の演奏は鍵盤の­タッチが美しく、傑作であると思う。

I prefer Rubinstein.

This is much faster than Rubinstein's interpretation. It give this a much lighter and more cheerful impression where Rubinstein's is dark with emotional drama.
