  • this is so cool:)

  • Looove this pose

  • her feet look so sexy in that pose.

  • Wtf

  • traction...hospital...id kill to be that "bendy"

  • I am a yoga student and I can learn alot from u since i am doing correspondence..:D thanks! :D

  • Sadie, Now I can do forearm and scorpion poses. You were my inspiration..I hope someday I can do full handstand. Great shot by the way...Take care =)

  • I really love working up to pincha mayurasana (still with the wall) in my practice, but have a hard time lifting the ribs to prevent an arch in my lower back. It doesn't hurt, but I know it's not optimal alignment. Because of that, I have been reluctant to try this (feels like cheating). Should I work on strength in pincha M before trying to add the back bend to it? This looks like so much fun, but I don't want to get hurt :)

  • i can't kick up to it any help???

  • @msgymnastics4eva This one takes me a few tries (and some days lots of tries) to kick up. I find it helpful to go into dolphin in front of the wall and walk my feet in a bit towards my elbows. There is usually one side you favor so try that until you get the idea, then practice on the other side too. Maybe a friend could spot you a bit so you get the feel for your body over your forearms? I also practice this a lot with a block against the 90 degree angle of my thumb and forefinger.

  • @Deposetheboyking thanks but i have forgotten what a dolphin is!is there a video you reccomend

  • @msgymnastics4eva Dolphin is like down dog, but you are on your forearms, not hands. Hope this isn't a repeat...thought I had responded to this, but don't see the response. Not sure the Sanskrit name, but I've not heard it called many other things besides Dolphin pose. I know yogatic (poster on YouTube) has a vid of it. Probably many others. Sorry I don't have time to look!

  • @Deposetheboyking thanks for going to the trouble of telling me it has helped a bit even though i only started like an hour ago thankyou!!

  • @moonfreak421 i totally agree

  • this chick is awsome!!! where has she been all my life?!! I saw one vid and it was enough to merit a Sub from me. keep 'em comin' girlfriend:)

  • how could 3 people dislike this? hm they must have been doing this pose and read the thumbs upside down

  • I can't do it:(

  • and thats a tutorial

  • this always hurts my lower back. is there something im doing wrong?

  • Thanks for the video, I just uploaded a scorpion pose practice as well :-)

  • i am really flexible so i can do this weird thing were my feet r over my head and i look at them aha that's pretty cool video thanks (:

  • O.O OMG

  • thats funny i randomly started doing this one day back in my gymnastics days. i thought i made it up, haha i didnt know it was a yoga pose

  • lol how many of you people did not come down gently?!!!!

  • Hi, I love your videos.

I was just wondering, with the scorpion pose, how would you make sure you fall safely and not dislocate your shoulders if you fall forward? or fall to the side even?

  • when I started to do Yoga, I knew, my dream is to make Scorpion pose. I just love it.! Now I can't even make a handstand without wall, but I am trying every day, and one day I will make a scorpion pose.!

  • @zanuxiite I have the same goal! Good luck to you.

  • I tried and couldn't :( I've been doing yoga for about 4 months only, and this is way too hard for me, but I subbed :)

  • Wow, i've never thought of that, i was trying to do it the other way around and it worked for me a little bit!

Gee i hope i can do it this time!!!!

  • i love your videos!! thank you

  • hmmm whats the last thing you said??? cause i am 99% sure that you said something in Greek :D

  • im working on this pose now and i always get so scared when i bring my feet off the wall, it feels like my legs just start falling and my back is going to snap in half.

  • Amazing, We have to do this in gymnastics, my teacher said that it's not only the back stength , its mostly balance and flexibility that does it.

  • Nice move. That one will really work your muscles.

  • Holy shit that was the hardest thing I've ever seen U ROCK!

  • skills! I used to be able to do handstands

  • Hi Sadie, I'm just wondering what your height is?

  • I do this in handstand and chase after people... It's unbelievably fun :D

  • woman, i love u.. your so professional. gona do everyday one of ur exersices. or better. am gona try..n

  • I'd probs snap my back doing that :|

    but amazing;]

  • Crazy yoga skills

  • siiickkk!!

  • I tried doing this now my wookie's broke. I broke my wookie

  • Man, I couldn't get my head off the floor so my head started to hurt and I fell backwards :( lol.

  • Very good and very instructive. Congrats !

  • Jeebees! That was crap hard for me! On the scale of 1-10, hardness level for me was 45..hundred...

  • Sadie thanks, mastered the headstand from these tutorials! Namaste . =D

  • Simply amazing. Watching you do this makes me believe one day I could as well. Or at least approach it. Well made video; great sound and the explaination is fairly clear.

    Thanks

  • This is another thing I'm going to do. I just hope I'm not too old for it...

  • I am confounded by this pose. I am quite strong in the upper body but I must have a weakness somewhere. I can't keep myself up in a simple forearm stand. I collapse. What strengtheners would you recommend?

  • holy shit i can almost do it

  • what did you say at the very end?

  • wow that's amazing! i'm excited to try it out, laughing guarenteed...

  • That was hot lol

  • stuff like this seems like alot of fun!

  • Holy crap! You don't even look human! This is my new goal for the summer. You go girl!

  • the yoga is boring and stupid

  • Your videos are incredible: super instructive and inspiring. Thank you!

  • omg i never new that was a yoga move i been doin since i was 6 idk y but its fun

  • cool info:D

  • hey am a beginner and I have recently joined street dance classes. Your videos are very helpful I would like to learn scorpion poss but I found it hard but I will practice everyday so I can get used to it.

    Thanks for uploading :)

    x

  • That was REALLY good!!!=) I'm trying to learn the scorpion myself! I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but it would look more professional if you maybe pointed your toes!! But anyways it was still great, and you did I great job at explaining it!=)

  • first day: peeing in my pants cause never tried forearm tand and was afraid breaking my nose by suddenly having all my weight on it ;) tried it from headtand into forearm...worked. 2. day tried doing forearm stand -> scorpion pose.. worked

today day 3 and i working over loosing fear (lot it) of doing it without the wall... now jut a lil more balance and a lil more of the feeling how much i need to kick up to get in it but not falling over....

all u need is doing it :D

    thanx sadie

  • great explanation. thank you!

  • should you allow your shoulder blades to sink into your ribcage for scorpion, or should you think of trying to lengthen your shoulder blades away from your ribcage, almost as if you were trying to push your forearms away from the mat? Basically, this pose is hit or miss for me, and i'd like to know where my center of gravity should be in relation to how my body anchors itself. i suspect the lower back does the brunt of the centering as well, right? Also, where should you focus your gaze?

  • that is fucking sweet

  • спасибо

  • Comment removed

  • Sry i have a question what exercise do I have to do first , that i don't do something bad for my back?

  • Cowcat (catcow?) and bridge is good ...

  • great explanation, very detailed, thx

  • lol how do you train for this?? balance first or do you just go for it ?? lol

  • I do ballet, and have ridiculous lower back flexibility and not-so-great upper back flexibility, which makes my back-bend look not so great.. and when I do this exercise, I find it very difficult not to end up literally folding my lower back at a 90º angle and not even stretching my upper back at all... any tips?

    Thanks and great video!

  • Gorgeous. Very inspirational.

  • Such a beautiful pose Sadie! Hopefully one day I can rock this.

  • i cant even do a handstand. lmao. plus thts kinda dangerous for beginners cuz u cud injure your back.

  • wow! great ima try it today :) lol

  • wow she has alot of balance

  • Great vid!

  • i'm 230 lbs and i can do a scorpion pose :) haha talk about back strength

  • @guerra6726 That sounds like such a lie

  • @diornotwar123 but it isnt :) now i weigh 244 lbs and i can still do it. ;D

  • @guerra6726 that´s great, but take a walk for about 40 minutes a day as well your body is gonna love you for it :)

  • I'ma b-boy and I like doing scorpion pose. When I lose balance, I use my fingers to stable. I also move my head way back. Stretch, worm up, and everything goes together.

  • Thanx Sadie! I have been working on this arm balance for weeks. I finally got my feet down towards my head in scorpion ( Not as deep as you) and got away from the wall! You and your vid made it alot easier. Now I am charged up and ready for a new challage, hmmm perhaps your drop back vid.

  • Wow, you make it look so easy :D

I reckon I could probably do it, but I'm too scared to kick off the ground :D

  • omg this is so hard to balance, i can do it but only for like a second then my arms feel like jelly but maybe thats coz i got injections in both arms for school but im still not very strong but ill keep practicing on it : )

  • Thanx soo much for all your posted videos. They have been a great help to me in my practice. You are a very skilled teacher!

  • OMG you make it looks so easy but... well I think maybe later for me :)

  • thank you soo much i almost have it with out the wall im just scared im guna fall.

i have been taking classes on and off for the past 2 years and my legs are very flexible but my back, not so much. but your videos are very helpful<3

  • easy , thanks

  • i can do this without the wall from the very beggining , but before that i practiced like 10 years of head stand . so everything is corelated and depends from what starting level you go into something new.

  • Good point. This will be something your body already understands and is strong and balanced enough for to be wall-less. I recommend everybody else who is just starting use the wall for a safety net, then work away from it over time. xoxosadie

  • I'm practicing it everyday. It's not easy for me but I'll do. Thanks

  • You GO! Tell me if you get it!

    Sadie

  • hoy crap that was amazing.

  • Thanks;) I'm still working on it with my lower back scoliosis, who knows. But it feels good just like this, so I'm happy.

    xoSadie

  • I have always been intimidated by yoga- I have free classes at my gym, but I'm afraid I'll look like an idiot! haha. It's amazing you have the ability to do that with your scoliosis. That's awesome! It looks perfect to me- but then again, I'm not a yogi. haha. Great job!

  • Perfect Scorpion Sadie- nice articulated instruction.

  • thanks:)

    Sadie

  • that's amazing !

can you get into that position without wall ?

  • sure ...

  • sure what ?

    wtf

  • I mean that she can do it without wall

  • I can...but it took a lot of practice.;) It made all my poses more possible as this progressed though, so it was worth the time and effort!

    xo Sadie

  • omg, you spoke to my. I am honoured. =D

your videos are pretty impressive. I've just started yoga and still getting into it and stuff.

    Keep up the awesomeness.

  • I will if you will;)

    Sadie

  • Oh, I will. haha

    Can yoga help joint pain?

my right knee is stuffed up and was wondering if it might help it get better, or something like that

  • Sure..the stretches [after warming up] help release the joint for less pain! Always keep your hip, knee and toes facing the same direction in your poses for good alignment. Good luck! S

  • hehe thanks

  • I mean she can do it without a wall ...

  • Thankies so much. ^^

  • you're welcome!! ;))) Sadie

  • i'm sooo afraid do do that.. maybe because my hips and but are really heavy and I have the impression that i will loose balance and break my arm or colon bone ... do you have any tips for me ? thank you for the videos

  • Hey there,

I have a tip--go slower and lower. Take little hops till your arm strength and courage builds, then progress higher over time. All your poses will benefit when you take the time to go on the journey. So forget about the full pose, work on keeping your arms straight over the wrists at ll times, and just work where you feel confident, and then you'll move on from there when you're ready. Good luck! xoxoSadie

  • very helpful, thanks :)

  • You're welcome, thanks for watching!

    xoSadie

  • cool thanx :)

  • Thanks everyone! There are so many ways to do a yoga pose, and I'm glad you like what you're learning here. Thanks for letting me know! xoxoSadie

  • amazing!

  • sexy

  • cool :p

  • yy what is this ? i know it without wall LOL ;P

  • Hey kikut765, You're missing it! This is not about "know it without wall". Sadie is TEACHING how to get into the pose correctly and safely, get it? Do something about that ego, will you?

Sadie, you give wonderful instructions and demonstrations. I'm leaning much from you. Thank you. Please keep them coming.

  • Hey there, it's cool...

Most students would be risking injury to learn this without the wall, so I'm teaching the safer way in using the wall. As we progress, we are stable and knowledgeable enough to move away from the wall. Don't underestimate the importance of process. There are things we can do better than others. And other things people can do better than us. To say it out loud is the ego talking...and that isn't cute.

    Namaste, Sadie

  • Hey, thanks...it's not easy for me because I'm not naturally bendy in the old back, but I really find reaching the heart and relaxing the lower back helps. Thanks for your comment!

    xoxoSadie

  • it is hard pose to learn i study contortion and it took me forever to do it she did amazing bravo!

  • ow! looks painful...i have a bad back i could never do that. :(

  • If you have a bad back, don't do this one, but do work on more gentle back curves like locust pose and cobra. We sit in chairs a lot, which undoes our natural low back curve, so putting it back in can feel uncomfortable. Go slow, and counterpose with gentle twists and pigeon pose...your back will feel much better. xoxoSadie

  • cool your amazing

  • Well, thanks, though I worked hard to get this pose to this point. I appreciate your good thoughts! xoxoSadie

  • you're great!!

  • Hey, thanks! you're great for saying so;)

  • these videos are so great and they have professional quality keep em comin

  • Thanks, everyone! I will keep em coming, and keep letting me know how you're doing, and what else you'd like to learn about.

    xoxoSadie

  • very flexibal!

  • Thank you for your clear instructions.

I think this video can be really helpful for the serious yoga-student.

It is a beautiful demonstration anyway.

  • That is such a beautiful asana to watch you doing.

  • Hey, thanks!!! I listen, and love to offer you what you want:) Keep the requests coming--it gives me inspiration.

    xoxoSadie
