Spring 2011 Membership (residing in Houston area, alive, and not attending another church) 56,009. Average worship attendance 21,653. Second executives want every person attending to become a member. Why I don't know. Do they get frequent flier miles for each member? 2.58 members per attendee. Spring 2012 Membership 58,418 Avg. worship attendance 24,200. If the $55,000,000+ budget had been spent wisely and Dr. Ed was not lying on stage, they would be at 62,597 members. Short 4,183 members.
Spring 2012 The Second Scene says, "By the (F)fall of 2007, the Cypress Campus (formerly the Willowbrook Campus) moved to its current home...." That is not true Cypress and Willowbrook were not the same campus that moved locations. I tried to volunteer at Willowbrook, but they closed the location at AMC Theatre. There was a large gap in time between Second printing and telling its members about Cypress. When I went to Willowbrook to attend church, there was no sign or mention of the change.

Exactly how much does it cost to get church staff already being paid millions of dollars in compensation and volunteers to give church orientations. Do they tell new members after the fact what the church believes? Kind of like Mitt Romney deciding to join a radical part of the old Black Panther Party and then asking what they believe. Does church think that new members might get lost trying to find the classroom where they are already attending a class? Decreased Evangelism, incr. orientation.
Found something strange in the 2012-2013 SBCHouston budget. The church leaders decreased ($23,000) the expense for Evangelism, but increased the expenses of the New members. New Members category is to account for the literature and new member orientation. How many of you that filled out a new member card, received literature and were taken on an orientation? Seems kind of strange that a person deciding to join the church as a member would need to be oriented. Where does the money really go?
Budget: 2011 Men's Ministry $29,000 to 2012 $67,500 Is that a 232% increase? What caused that? One of largest budget percentage increase. "Next Level" 5&6 grade was changed to 4&5 grade in Spring 2012 The Second Scene and left out of the budget (not added to another category). Other education category names (high school, junior high, nursery, etc.) stayed the same. Ministers' housing allowance increased $58,750 to $3,233,750, but the mortgage payments are fixed and utilities about the same.

Seems like Lee Maxcy and David Dixon are just as responsible for poor functioning of Second Baptist. Telling people that all the books of the Bible are represented by the monograms in the stained glass window and the dome was inverted was just plain buffoonery. How difficult is it to look at the dome from Voss and count the monograms? Especially when they have access to look and time to verify what is printed and mailed to members. Money given to SBCHouston is money down the drain.
Jan. 22, 2012 sermon was too easy. It was so obvious that Dr. Ed Young was wrong again. The first principle of contracts is to get as much as you can with the least liability? Even a non-attorney, like us, know that is not true. It may be the first princilpe of negotiation, but not contracts. Before Ike, SBC kept the window showing during the Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. Our media dept. contact said that the sun through the windows did not have an effect on the expensive modern cameras. At 11:11 a.m., they choose to darken the room using the the old black screen. In a SBCH brochure, named "second grand opening l september 12 & 13, 2009" (all small letters), it says, "The overhead dome, with monograms representing each book of the Bible, was inverted, and..." First, the dome was not inverted. The dome is in the same position it was when built. Second, there are 66 books in the Bible, but only 64 mongrams in the stained glass over the stage. Count them. And you believe that the Ike storm "severely damaged" the Worship Center? Suckers.

Why does SBCHouston spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for security? The Houston police sit in the atrium and do not patrol. The private security guards watch monitors and drive around the campus every once in awhile. There is little security for many acres and many cubbyholes in which to hide. You could hide in Port-O-Lets during the church building construction. SBC says that they spent hundreds of thousands of your dollars for church security. Waste of money. Beef it up or stop.

What is so great about Second baptist is that it feels so good to attend. Everything is the best. No expense is spared. If the activity is not top notch, they do not attempt to do it. JUMP, VBX, VBS, Beach Retreat. How did God's word spread without all of the performance-related activities? Beats me. And those buildings! Redoing everything to be prettier for us! I feel blessed each time I walk into Worship Center. I like the hominess and closeness of the movie theatre seating.

If Dr. Ed Young says that Second Baptist Church does not endorse or give a voice to politicians while they are in campaign mode, he is incorrect. People remember that Gov. Perry spoke at a July 4th church show and then gave a speech on stage years later. Church attenders remember and know that is an endorsement. It may be legal, but NOT ETHICAL. If a business gives public its budget, but not their year-end actual financial statements, it can be concluded that budget and year-end fincancial statements are the same. SBCHouston states they pay the ushers, associate deacons, and deacons $29,000. Why? SBC does not reimburse their members' donations to Angels of Light , Chistmas in July, etc. Shouldn't the deacons' small expenses, such as occasional hospital parking, be part of their sacrifice and service? Never seen a poor SBC deacon.
If the members pay $141,000 to auditors and attorneys for the annual audit of the financial statements, why don't the members of Second Baptist Church Houston receive a copy in the Second Scene of the actual yearly financial statements? Are the tithes and offerings going for the audits or being embezzled? So far the second looks true. No proof to members of actual audited financial statements.

Second Baptist Church Global (One World Church) Media Director Mark Sepulveda put the technology (and sound system not damaged due to Ike) project team together in November of 2008. The team was led by Maxx Technology, with HFP Acoustical, BTS and Grzebik Design Group. All worked tirelessly to bring this project to completion in an exceptional fashion in September 2009. I truly do not understand. We bought a very nice church in Kingwood and the ministers told us that Ike damaged that campus also. I was there when a minister told us that all 5 of the campuses were damaged by Ike. I like the church, it makes me feel good, but I just can not get over what they are doing. I lost respect for them. I will never again trust any minister of Second. I will not claim membership or attend there as a worshipper. If I attend a service, it will be work-related.

I just had an incredible thought. Wouldn't it be great if Second Baptist Church Houston had Reo Speedwagon, Journey, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Devo and other 80's bands play in the Worship Center. Afterwards, they can give a talk about Christian-related stuff. They would not lift weights or break concrete, but it would be much more popular with the older members. We could pack'em in.

I believe that Dr. Ed Young asked former Dancing with the Stars performer Tom DeLay to stand (endorsement) at a 9:30 a.m. Sunday service.

As of July 2011, how much of the $86,750,000 has been raised specifically for the Blessed to be a Blessing campaign? After fundraisers at the church, we never hear about how much of the accounts has been paid. We had another one to repair the Worship Center that was about $8 to $14 million dollars and we don't know if that debt has been paid off. We could be floating in an ocean of red ink and on the brink of bankruptcy.
This video seems more like the YouTube video "Angels & Demons - Official Trailer " than the The Da Vinci Code movie trailer. However, they are both very similar to "Blessed to be a Blessing."
I went to a professional baseball game and looked on the back of the ticket. It said that I could be photographed or on video and I could not expect compensation from the team or owners. Did SBCHouston tell the people in this video that they would appear in a commercial? Did the church compensate them? They have the money to pay each individual that appears in Blessed to be a Blessing. Why would baseball team need disclaimer, but not a multi-million dollar church business?
Why would Second Baptist Church ask and/or pay the Harris County Clerk to remove the initial lawsuit filing? Because they have the money and influence. Also, it looks bad to sue Tejas using one attorney, then suing again using a mega-law firm. Want only one lawsuit shown. Sued a small-business owner twice when they are a mega-church with mega-millions at their disposal to squash the "little guy." Incompetence by first attorney and incorrect filing is not an excuse for clerk deleting documents.
It is obvious that the original documents are missing on the public computer system and internet website since Tejas Yellow Rose lawsuit was a COUNTERsuit. What are SBC and H.C. clerk trying to hide? It is exciting knowing that the new senior minister to replace Homer Edwin Young will be just like him, but in a different way. He will be just as flawed. It will not be obvious at the beginning, but it will be too late to fire him. He will bring in new and larger sources of money so that Second Baptist Chuch in Houston, Texas can help usher in more anti-christs and eventually endorse the Anti-christ. It is interesting that SBC Houston believes that increasing the number and size of the campuses is a measure of how good they are doing. They may be doing well, but not good. If you inherit millions of dollars and give a large amount to SBC Houston, you can become a deacon, trustee, elder, minister. You can put it on your bio and resume' that you are a deacon even after you are no longer a deacon. Many do. Has anybody seen the public documents of the church at the Harris County Clerk Office that show the Woodway Village Shopping Center being used for collateral for church loans before they voted to buy those buildings and land? That is what it looks like according to the metes and bounds description. It looked like they already owned it then asked the members to vote to buy it. The documents say the church owned all of the collateral. Moulton Goodrum's signature was on the notarized documents.

Spring 2012 The Second Scene says, "By the (F)fall of 2007, the Cypress Campus (formerly the Willowbrook Campus) moved to its current home...." That is not true Cypress and Willowbrook were not the same campus that moved locations. I tried to volunteer at Willowbrook, but they closed the location at AMC Theatre. There was a large gap in time between Second printing and telling its members about Cypress. When I went to Willowbrook to attend church, there was no sign or mention of the change.

Exactly how much does it cost to get church staff already being paid millions of dollars in compensation and volunteers to give church orientations. Do they tell new members after the fact what the church believes? Kind of like Mitt Romney deciding to join a radical part of the old Black Panther Party and then asking what they believe. Found something strange in the 2012-2013 SBCHouston budget. The church leaders decreased ($23,000) the expense for Evangelism, but increased the expenses of the New members. New Members category is to account for the literature and new member orientation. How many of you that filled out a new member card, received literature and were taken on an orientation? Seems kind of strange that a person deciding to join the church as a member would need to be oriented. Where does the money really go?

Budget: 2011 Men's Ministry $29,000 to 2012 $67,500 Is that a 232% increase? What caused that? One of largest budget percentage increase. "Next Level" 5&6 grade was changed to 4&5 grade in Spring 2012 The Second Scene and left out of the budget (not added to another category). Other education category names (high school, junior high, nursery, etc.) stayed the same. Ministers' housing allowance increased $58,750 to $3,233,750, but the mortgage payments are fixed and utilities about the same.

Seems like Lee Maxcy and David Dixon are just as responsible for poor functioning of Second Baptist. Telling people that all the books of the Bible are represented by the monograms in the stained glass window and the dome was inverted was just plain buffoonery. How difficult is it to look at the dome from Voss and count the monograms? Especially when they have access to look and time to verify what is printed and mailed to members. Money given to SBCHouston is money down the drain.

Jan. 22, 2012 sermon was too easy. It was so obvious that Dr. Ed Young was wrong again. The first principle of contracts is to get as much as you can with the least liability? Even a non-attorney, like us, know that is not true. It may be the first princilpe of negotiation, but not contracts. "...the Creation Window was equipped with a special screen that will; make it possible to keep the window visible duriong the worship services." Before Ike, SBC kept the window showing during the Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. Our media dept. contact said that the sun through the windows did not have an effect on the expensive modern cameras. At 11:11 a.m., they choose to darken the room using the the old black screen. WHY do we need a SPECIAL screen? Wasted $. See brochure.

In a SBCH brochure, named "second grand opening l september 12 & 13, 2009" (all small letters), it says, "The overhead dome, with monograms representing each book of the Bible, was inverted, and..." First, the dome was not inverted. The dome is in the same position it was when built. Second, there are 66 books in the Bible, but only 64 mongrams in the stained glass over the stage. Count them. And you believe that the Ike storm "severely damaged" the Worship Center? Suckers.

People involved with Second Baptist Church Houston complain about YouTube videos of ZZ Top and ask that they be removed. However, they do not understand how many people like ZZ Top and will continue to replace the removed videos with new ones of the same songs. The attendees are not truly listening with their minds when Ed talks. If they did, they would no longer attend Second Baptist Church Houston. Why does SBCHouston spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for security? The Houston police sit in the atrium and do not patrol. The private security guards watch monitors and drive around the campus every once in awhile. There is little security for many acres and many cubbyholes in which to hide. You could hide in Port-O-Lets during the church building construction. SBC says that they spent hundreds of thousands of your dollars for church security. Waste of money. Beef it up or stop.

Dr. Ed Young said that for God to answer your prayers, you must say "in Jesus name." That is not actually true. "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." There are other similar verses in the Bible. What is so great about Second baptist is that it feels so good to attend. Everything is the best. No expense is spared. If the activity is not top notch, they do not attempt to do it. JUMP, VBX, VBS, Beach Retreat. How did God's word spread without all of the performance-related activities? Beats me. And those buildings! Redoing everything to be prettier for us! I feel blessed each time I walk into Worship Center. I like the hominess and closeness of the movie theatre seating.

This would be a good song to play at Really Big Christmas Show. They played ZZ Top's song at the 2010 Christmas Show. Why not AC/DC's Hells Bells? It is more Bible-related than Sharp Dressed Man. If Dr. Ed Young says that Second Baptist Church does not endorse or give a voice to politicians while they are in campaign mode, he is incorrect. People remember that Gov. Perry spoke at a July 4th church show and then gave a speech on stage years later. Church attenders remember and know that is an endorsement. It may be legal, but NOT ETHICAL. If a business gives public its budget, but not their year-end actual financial statements, it can be concluded that budget and year-end fincancial statements are the same. SBCHouston states they pay the ushers, associate deacons, and deacons $29,000. Why? SBC does not reimburse their members' donations to Angels of Light , Chistmas in July, etc. Shouldn't the deacons' small expenses, such as occasional hospital parking, be part of their sacrifice and service? Never seen a poor SBC deacon.

Second Baptist Church Global (One World Church) Media Director Mark Sepulveda put the technology (and sound system not damaged due to Ike) project team together in November of 2008. The team was led by Maxx Technology, with HFP Acoustical, BTS and Grzebik Design Group. All worked tirelessly to bring this project to completion in an exceptional fashion in September 2009. Worked in tandem with ministers to deceive the church money members.

I truly do not understand. We bought a very nice church in Kingwood and the ministers told us that Ike damaged that campus also. I was there when a minister told us that all 5 of the campuses were damaged by Ike. I like the church, it makes me feel good, but I just can not get over what they are doing. I lost respect for them. I will never again trust any minister of Second. I will not claim membership or attend there as a worshipper. If I attend a service, it will be work-related.

I just had an incredible thought. Wouldn't it be great if Second Baptist Church Houston had Reo Speedwagon, Journey, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Devo and other 80's bands play in the Worship Center. Afterwards, they can give a talk about Christian-related stuff. They would not lift weights or break concrete, but it would be much more popular with the older members. We could pack'em in.

Past SBCHouston endorsements, include a former terrorist (SBC's words); Enron's Ken Lay, Pastor Sunday Adelaja and ChurchShift, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (Corral Club). I believe that Dr. Ed Young asked former Dancing with the Stars performer Tom DeLay to stand (endorsement) at a 9:30 a.m. Sunday service.

YouTube: "Second Baptist Speical Guest" SBC endorsing the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in March 2010. Endorsing HLS&R, SBC knew about the increasing use and abuse of alcohol to raise funds for RodeoHouston. Endorsing the rodeo since it is the popular thing to do, but not the ethical or moral thing. Easier to go along than do what is right. Many leaders of the church attend the rodeo and are on committees so they know the truth about the love affair between HLS&R and alcohol.

One theory: I.T. is reading the SBCHouston employees' emails and passing them on if they meet the Second Baptist Church Houston I.T. departments approval.

As of July 2011, how much of the $86,750,000 has been raised specifically for the Blessed to be a Blessing campaign? After fundraisers at the church, we never hear about how much of the accounts has been paid. We had another one to repair the Worship Center that was about $8 to $14 million dollars and we don't know if that debt has been paid off. We could be floating in an ocean of red ink and on the brink of bankruptcy.

I went to a professional baseball game and looked on the back of the ticket. It said that I could be photographed or on video and I could not expect compensation from the team or owners. Did SBCHouston tell the people in this video that they would appear in a commercial? Did the church compensate them? They have the money to pay each individual that appears in Blessed to be a Blessing. Why would baseball team need disclaimer, but not a multi-million dollar church business?

Why would Second Baptist Church ask and/or pay the Harris County Clerk to remove the initial lawsuit filing? Because they have the money and influence. Also, it looks bad to sue Tejas using one attorney, then suing again using a mega-law firm. Want only one lawsuit shown. Sued a small-business owner twice when they are a mega-church with mega-millions at their disposal to squash the "little guy." Incompetence by first attorney and incorrect filing is not an excuse for clerk deleting documents.

It is obvious that the original documents are missing on the public computer system and internet website since Tejas Yellow Rose lawsuit was a COUNTERsuit. What are SBC and H.C. clerk trying to hide? How much money exchanged hands? Texas Rangers? Not missing are the second lawsuit documents filed against Tejas by one of the nations largest and most expensive law firms. Shows that SBCHouston remembers the story of David (Tejas) and Goliath (SBC and Bracewell & Giuliani), but forgot the ending.

Retired attorney Moulton Goodrum was shown as attorney on missing doucments at the Harris County Clerks Office. He was not shown as registered agent on those documents. First filing a few months before Bracewell and Giuliani filing. Clerk should not delete records to cover up a church leaders incompetence. How much did they pay the person that deleted the records (douments) from the public computer system at the satellite offices? Computer update or conversion is not reason for deletion.

County clerk at satellite office confirmed that Harris County Clerks Office records not correct. Look up Tejas Yellow Rose as defendant and find docket # 835319 with Tejas as defendant. Look up docket # 835319 and see Tejas Yellow Rose as plaintiff. Also the date of first filed documents that are missing are previous to Bracewell and Giuliani filings and the same year. There should be 3 separate filings shown when doing search of Tejas Yellow Rose and Second Baptist Church Houston together.

It is exciting knowing that the new senior minister to replace Homer Edwin Young will be just like him, but in a different way. He will be just as flawed. It will not be obvious at the beginning, but it will be too late to fire him. He will bring in new and larger sources of money so that Second Baptist Chuch in Houston, Texas can help usher in more anti-christs and eventually endorse the Anti-christ. Money makes this church go round. The leaders will think this is incorrect until too late.

Dr. Ed Young and SBC Houston endorsed Gov. Rick Perry. Rick was a performer in a July 4th church show years ago. Rick also gave a speech during a church service another year. Why did Dr. Ed have somebody else speak on June 12, 2011 when he was at the church? He was endorsing a product (movie) like The Crystal Cathedral (TCC) does weekly (usually). It is amazing that, after Jesus died, anybody became a Christian. Before 1980, most churches didn't think that they needed campuses, big screens, large productions, famous members, tv programs, wealthy ministers, financial secrecy, body guards, etc. How was Christianity and God's Word able to survive without those things? Without expensive and numerous assets, God's Word will die. Second Baptist Church Houston shows us that by example.

Out of 52,000 plus members, they can not find construction workers/drywallers/electicians/architect/engineers to do the work as volunteers and free? They do it during Serve Houston. It is obvious that people that attend SBC Houston do not truly care about anybody but themselves. Lee and David are afraid of losing their high-paying jobs and high-value personal assets. What did I behold? A chauffeur speeding a four-door sedan. The driver rounded the corner going into the stadium parking lot at such a high rate of speed that the car looked like it was part of a police chase. Dr. Ed Young looked like Steve Martin driving with John Candy in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Where was the helicopter? Don't know. Does anybody remember when Dr. Ed Young said at Woodway that there were rumors that he used a helicopter to get from campus to campus. He said that was not true, but during that church service at Woodway, he said he would be flying by helicopter to the Cypress campus. He said that if anybody wanted to watch him leave in a helicopter that he would be leaving next week after the service. I left the HLS&R early to get to Cypress 2 hours before the service. Waited. Waited. What did I behold?

They probably had the man that carried Ed's Bible dangerously drive him to the next service. Yes, I agree. SBC leaders think that they control their destiny and other churches. Whatever happened to mission churches? SBC doesn't want to give money to others to start churches. They don't think that others can be trusted or do as well as SBC's highly educated and successful businessmen . That thinking is what will help guide the U.S. to one world church. SBC will be in the lead. Pride goeth before a fall. Like you said, one very long slow fall. What is done can not be taken back.

It is interesting that SBC Houston believes that increasing the number and size of the campuses is a measure of how good they are doing. They may be doing well, but not good. We have people on the inside, employees, assoc. deacons, and deacons that tell us (conversations) and show us (documents) what is being planned and all of the details. SBC leaders think that they control their destiny and the churches. No. We do. We decide when they rise and fall. Sometimes a slow fall over decades.

If you inherit millions of dollars and give a large amount to SBC Houston, you can become a deacon, trustee, elder, minister. You can put it on your bio and resume' that you are a deacon even after you are no longer a deacon. Many do. If you are have a M.B.A. from U.T. in accounting/finance with common sense, but not much money or status, you can be an Asscociate Deacon (" pass the plate guy").

Has anybody seen the public documents of the church at the Harris County Clerk Office that show the Woodway Village Shopping Center being used for collateral for church loans before they voted to buy those buildings and land? That is what it looks like according to the metes and bounds description. It looked like they already owned it then asked the members to vote to buy it. The documents say the church owned all of the collateral. Moulton Goodrum's signature was on the notarized documents.

Second Baptist Church Houston created the video (internet web address below) to have excuse to remodel while repairing the church. That included repairs to bathrooms, ceilings, and other normal wear and tear that the church could not afford on a yearly basis. If they could not afford to do the normal yearly repairs at Woodway with the money and buildings SBC had, how does SBC expect to do it at Kingwood and Katy now and in the future? Is it "ends justify the lies" or "ends justify the means"?

Based on that if an attorney, you are probably personally involved in drugs, alcohol, fraud, violent, and/or divorced. He said that you should not spend much time with people not Christian. Does Houston have an appeals process set up for all the appeals like Harris Couinty Appraisal District does? Why did Mayor Parker call it a fee when set up like property taxes. Where would you go Sunday morning if they did not sell danishes and coffee? Shipley's? Starbucks? Does Willowbrook Mall pay tax on lease/rental income? To Steve Seelig: You were the minister in charge of funerals for members of SBCHouston. You did not feel need to visit the family at St. Luke's Hospital. You sent a deacon to do your job. How many funerals do you organize a year? You said only 15 minutes, then approved 30 at the most. Told cost too much to operate church. You willingly allow families of firefighters and college basketball players have large long funerals (publicity), but not members. Sanctuary runs A/C 24 hours 7 days a wk.

Second Baptist Church Houston hired Moulton Goodrum (church member and church executive (Texas comptroller records)) to sue Tejas Yellow Rose in 2005. Harrris County Clerk Office public documents from 2005 to 2010 showed. Now that record is missing from H.C.C.O. website. Second sued Tejas again months later using the mega-law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani. Also public record. Second suit stupid. I have copies of missing documents and filedate/film code of missing docs. Stanart, where are they?

Second Baptist Church Houston has 2 campuses and 3 campuses. Cypress and Woodway. North, South, and West. Does anything seem strange? How about Cypress, Woodway, Kingwood, Pearland, and Katy? Are those name trademarked? Also, how about Northwest, Central, North, South, and West. Just a silly thought.

Ed Young at Second Baptist Church in Houston said on Sunday, 4/24/2011, "Victory" that he read a book called, "Heaven is Real." That can not be true. If he had actually read it, he would have known that it is called, "Heaven is for Real." Is Ed lying or does he have dementia? How old is he now? At what age is dementia a likely possibility?

SBCHouston currently owns a shooping center next to the Woodway campus. At the time of this fundraiser, Second Baptist Church Houston said that the restaurants' and stores' leases would end this year, 2011. At that time, they said that the businesses will be moved out by the end of 2011. Are those statements made by Second Baptist Church honest or lies?

At the end of the Dance Your Shoes Off video where they say thousands of new shoes were donated and advertise SECOND.ORG is what the Holy Bible is talking about at Matthew 6:1. I would feel depressed miserable working for Second Baptist Church in Houston. For whom are you kingdom building? Blessed to be a Blessing shows that SBCHouston is about assets and entertainment. How much was spent on outdoor baptismals that are rarely used?

People that know Ed Young (SBCHouston) personally have said that he does not believe the mark of the beast will exist in the future. It has been said that he does not believe other parts of the Bible even though he professes to be a conservative Baptist minister and says that he believes the Bible is the Word of God.
