As a musician, I can tell you, and you've likely heard that there are examples of artists who can't understand what all the hype and praise is all about concerning certain performances of theirs. Clapton's "Crossroads" is a perfect example. He's continually stated he just doesn't feel it's one of his better performances. Kids coming up in the sixties and even today, who are venturing into learning great blues/rock guitar hold this piece as reverential and monumental, so, go figure.

After 1 hour of listening to The Who of their worst performance, he just went up and said that! He was fed up with being stuck with this performance... As a musician, I can tell you, and you've likely heard that there are examples of artists who can't understand what all the hype and praise is all about concerning certain performances of theirs. Clapton's "Crossroads" is a perfect example. He's continually stated he just doesn't feel it's one of his better performances. Kids coming up in the sixties and even today, who are venturing into learning great blues/rock guitar hold this piece as reverential and monumental, so, go figure.

It's not like he ever did a thing without putting attention on himself. He's just some loudmouth who never really helped anybody. The cops kicked his ass because they were racist? They probably just kicked his ass because he was an annoying moron. I would, and I bet most black people would too if they had to listen to him talk for more than five minutes. Nobody with a shred of decency would give this clown any creedence. The only honorable act Abbie Hoffman ever committed was suicide.

The difference would be that President Obama is an intelligent man who knows what he's talking about. I don't see him shouting all loudly dressing up like a lunatic all the time, or even any time. Obama demands respect, whereas there is nothing about Hoffman that is even remotely respectable. His suicide, perhaps, but that should have come much earlier.
