@durangos230 Actually, if you listen closely, you'll notice the second segment of the song was repeated, making the song have four segments instead of the original three - that's what makes a re-edit... if you hadn't noticed it, play it again (and again, and again, and again...........)
@durangos230: Yes, it is a re-edit. As a matter of fact, the only thing I didn't like about the original was the fact that it was only something like 2:10 long. Still, whoever played lead on it was playing some NAYSTY (no, ding-dang it, I DON"T mean nasty, I mean NAYSTY!) geeetar!!!
@durangos230 That 'NAYSTY ' guitar player is my husband,Joe Jammer and he sure appreciates your appreciation! He now lives in London and says if you're ever here come to a gig would be great to meet another Runners fan!!1
thanks for posting this joint on here. My moms had this on 45 when I was three years old. This is also still excellent for b-boying. Whenever you hear this joint, put on a pair of Pro-keds Royal and Pro-Keds Super Royal. that also includes cornrows,an afro,stone/acid wash bellbottoms, hair straightened out,and an applejack hat. Lol.
Thank you for posting this 1974 dancer classic. This single is in my way cool instrumental box and will always be part of my repertoire. I also favour their 1979 "The Bitch" vocal, from the fantastic soundtrack album from the movie of the same name - check it out!! Keep On Dancing, and Happy New Year all month long!! DAVEDJ
@MyJaySeven and to think Do It Over was the A side that they played on the air. Then of course we then flipped it over, heard this and went "What the? DDDDDamn".
