After that there was something called Atari 2600. I liked that a lot then there was something called Atari 5200. My fav on that was Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.
I was so young it's hard to remember. It was not Atari but something called "The TV game" all it featured was the ability to play pong. There were no cartridges. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
My First Game System Was Probably My Nintendo Entertainment System or My Sega Genesis. I Still Have An Original Atari But I Think My Favorite System Is Still The Nintendo 64 :p Jet Force Gemini and Banjo Kazooie Was The Best.
Bash me all you want, but I've never been able to enjoy Atari games. I guess because they're too "simple" for me? I dunno. But my first console was a sega genesis.
My 1st .. Atari 2600 as well :) I still remember the excitement as I counted down the day's until Christmas. Looking at the big Box under the tree.. knowing there was an Atari 2600 inside. It came with Pac-Man & Combat. I got another game separate ... Q*bert !! about 2 years later was the video game crash & I ended up buying a butt load of games for 25 cents a peace. I went into the local Revco with 10 bucks & walked out with close to 50 games !!! ^_^ OHH JOY !!! those were the days.
I left a couple of completely applicable comments that related to your video last night Chris and they are gone? Fuck you're a tosser mate, you really are.
Atari ST. Rocked. First game I remember seeing on it was Carrier Command. My Dad and older brother were trying to get it to work and my Dad was like "don't touch the pictures on the side" lol.
Intellivision, playing Night Stalker, Bump and Jump, Triple Action,Bomb Squad and Bowling. No one said specifically Magnavox Oddysee, that was a first generation console. It was so primitive it couldn't keep score, or show graphics (you taped plastic overlays to the screen)

The Atari 2600 and the Sega Genesis 16-bit controllers have the same connection and you can use a sega controller in place of the Atari controller. You can get a generic sega controller from DealExtreme "additional-gamepad-controller-for-sku-28970-30530" for 4.55 shipped from Hong Kong.

That was my first game system too. I loved Adventure, but Surround made me a little nutty - I think it was the sound which you did perfectly, by the way.
The first Nintendo, with huge cassettes. But before that I was playing games on a keyboard called the the Color BASIC I think!? (I was really young!) We hooked it up to the TV, had to type in lines of codes and then we could play...
I had the Sears Telegames console. It basically was the same things as the black Atari 2600, but all crazy cool wood grain. That broke and I got a replacement Atari (the black one) that I still own and is sitting behind me in my studio so I can play Yars Revenge every now and then.
I have a coin operated stand up arcade game Galaga.. It is broke so I am hoping to convert it to a multicade machine.. or put a pc in the cabinet and run roms..
At my age, 15, you'd expect that I would have had an Xbox or PS3 for first console, but I had an Atari 2600. Then a NES. Then a SNES. I don't even have an Xbox or PS3, only a Wii. Atari FTW!
