@TheStrokesMan1251 Only guess I can offer: In KH2, you have the option to hit the triangle button to do different commands. In KH1, all you have is pure skill or pure luck, depening on how each battle goes in the end.
The reason he's much harder to kill in the first on is because Sora has no idea of how strong he really is, and he didn't have the extra abilities or action commands at his disposal like he did in KH2. I can guarantee that without the action commands alone, Xemnas, or any of OrgXIII would be near impossible to defeat.

Lastly he does the electricity drain thing in KH2 as well however in KH2 Sora's health is drained and you play as Riku and have to dodge Xemnas' copy's attacks and free sora.
