It's a lot easier if you use the first warp whistle after the tower on World 1, then use the second warp whistle while you're in the warp zone.

I get the two warp whistles then warp to the warp zone then while i am in the warp zone i use the second flute and it took me to world 8

you know you dont have to beat world 1 or you dont have to go to world 7 in order to go to world 8 just do this instead right after you get the 2nd flute use it, it will go to the warp zone with the different worlds once you get there DONT go into a world instead use your other flute and it will send you straight to level 8 it just cuts back at least a minute instead of going to a pipe and using it.

dude there is an EASIER WAY!

Get the first two flutes

use the first flute and use the 2nd one WHILE your in warp zone....TADA it warps you to world 8. you can get there in about 3-5 minutes.

You're wrong. If you use the first whistle while in World 1, it puts up on the top row of Warp options, 2-4. Even if you use the second whistle while you're in the Warp area, it'll just send you to the second row, 5-7, not the last. I just beat the original Super Mario Bros. 3 on NES a few days ago, I'm pretty sure I'm aware of my claims!

Are you sure? I may be wrong if the Super Mario Bros. 3 on the Virtual Console was altered from the NES version but I did it there like 2 days ago.

dynablade1 is right. IF you use a whistle while you are in the warp zone, it will send you to the last row. Just search for "Mario bros 3 speedrun" to see some examples

Dynablade is incorrect. Why don't you try playing it yourself? If you use the first whistle, it takes you to the first row. Use the second while you're in the Warp Zone and it'll send you to the second row, not the third. I'd beaten SMB3 just a few days prior to posting my last few comments, and I'd tried it because I'd accidentally used a whistle before beating World 1. It didn't work.

Then I think there must be different versions of the game. I have played the NES version after reading your comment and I have played the SNES version in the past. If I use the whistle in the warp area, it brings me to world 8. Could you record yourself trying to do it. I'm curious now

Are you playing it on a ROM? I have no way to record my TV and get it onto my computer that I'm aware of, so I'll have to find an identical rom, if it exists. However, I know for a solid fact that I am correct about my version of the game. I had two whistles, accidentally used one, and tried to use the other while in the Warp Zone to get to World 8. It only sent me to Row 2, and I was forced to restart the entire game again.

i just tried it on my nes, used the first flute in world 1, then i used the second in the warp zone and i got to the warp zone at the bottom. at lvl 8.

Actually, you don't have to beat World 1; just play the second whistle while already in the Warp Zone and you go straight to World 8.

There is an easier way:

1. Get both of the warp whistles (in this video)

2. In world 1, warp to warp zone.

3. While in the warp zone, use the other warp whistle again, and you'll be transported to the world 8 pipe.

4. Enter the pipe
