  • Wow, that engines really screaming....

  • friction proofing an engine can be a bad idea,it glazes the bores,if you've got chrome moly rings and bore even worse..this is a gimick, service your engine using quality oil and you shouldn't have problems, additives are band aids.yeah the engine still runs but how many miles of life were raped out of it ya think?.stupid people see what they thought couldn't be done and think wow im gunna buy me some of this shit, when really they never actually needed it...load of bullshit.

  • Ok nonbelievers:

Make us a video of you draining your oil and then run the engine for just three minutes, without prolong. If your claims are correct then you'll have no problems right? Scared of 3 minutes? Ok, do it for just one minute. I cant wait to see the results.

Bet none of you will put your money where your mouth is.

  • so stupid

  • Its protected from sand and no oil, but is it protected from mayhem like me?

  • what a massive bag of bollocks. lets see how long it lasts run flat out, and not at 2000rpm.

  • WANKERS

  • and the point of this demonstration is?

  • cant wait to buy this product, its going to come in real handy in case I'm ever stuck in a sandstorm with my bonnet and rocker covers removed.

  • Lol. At what point in a cars life would it need protection from 5 kilos of sand being poured in the head? These guys are full of shit. Engines are so much more resillient than people think. A freind of mine tried to kill a Mk2 Golf by sticking a brick on the accelerator after draining the engine. 15 minutes to die lol.

  • this is awsome i was trying to think of ways to cut some more weight out of my car now i can confidently drain my oil and water take off my sump, oil pump, water pump, and raidiator. i cant wait to see how it goes down the track now. thanks prolong

  • i don`t see any engine runnin longer than a minute without oil they stall out without water with oil so your 10 to 15 mins is bullshit justin

  • Americas best hahahahha retarded nation !!

  • Proof that you can see with your own eyes...... That the dickhead in the video has absolutely no idea about engines.

  • Wow...fucking amazing how dumb people are. They did not prove anything because they did nothing that would hurt a regular engine in the same amount of time.

  • that's a cool idea, just in case you would like to use the car after removing the sump ?? Why would you

  • this video would be less moronic and more entertaining if that guy stuck his hand in the exposed crak shaft

  • This should be a "Where are they now?" video.

    ProLong. What a fucking scam.

Every one knows Chryslers engines don't run this long even with oil in them. HAHA!

  • 6000 rpm my ass

  • That retarded, he cuts the coolant hose and "wooow look at that!" like its going to overheat on the spot as soon as the hose is cut. No, its a chrysler V8 not a friggin nuclear reactor...

  • crap show us the big end bearings, mains and bores with the pistons. engine will run for a while with some help. but the damage is not seen on these rubbis adds. what do ou expect will happen - blow up in a fire ball? wyns supercharge or SFR will be better.

  • IAM I GONNA GET HURT ! .....hopefully !

  • here in australia a test took place in the early 70s between Ford, Holden (GM) an Chrysler at the wheels motor show. they ran there new 6 cylinder motors with out oil to see which one lasted the longest. first holden, then ford. biggest suprise was when they turned off the chrysler by hand. it never died.

  • had to be a chrysler... only a mopar can do that.

  • I saw one of these demonstrations at a trade fair, the engine was idling and it didn't last 2 minutes before it seized up, they quickly covered it up and scattered i like cock roaches .

  • that guy is in shorts ... cutting a radiator hose ? hmmm...

  • you can by the way his talking that its fucking fake

  • This is nothing. My mazda eunos ran smooth as a nut with no water for miles, then it burnt off all the oil and ran smooth as a nut for a few more miles. ...then it blew the head gasket, warped the head, melted the electrics and never ran the same again!

  • hey dumfucks, they weren't trying to proove your engine was gonna do 10k miles with sand in it, just to show that if it runs well with all this shit for 5 minutes, imagine how long it will last with proper maintnance.... douchebags

  • Yes it's running without oil. It's being lubricated with the product they're advertising. But that engine will last no longer than 10 minutes. ;)

  • mopar is the real winner here

  • Was that oil in that glass? Bs

  • I wish they all would have gotten burnt by exploding coolant

  • Activision marketing in a nutshell.

  • Oil so good it works when it's not even there! Someone got promoted with that idea!

  • First off, the tachometer is set to 4 cylinder mode. That is at most 2,000 rpms, not 6,000. Second, the engine wasn't run without water long enough and even then there was some still in it, third, the sand didn't even get picked up by the oil pump so it literally did nothing. Any engine can run about 10-15 minutes with all the oil drained out so 3 minutes is nothing. Those of you who know how to build an engine knows this is true, I build drag car engines and tune them. This video is bs, period.

  • @justins4d Yeah he is just trying to sell his product. Anyway, who runs their engine under extreme conditions anyway? :P This video is ridiculous.

  • im gonna do that to my truck becase i guest sand clean everything

  • cams...?this engine has 1 cam...this isnt a tuner car engine...

    i also call bullshit...put a load on the engine...booooom...just what i want to do..blow my engine...morons..

  • try putting sand in the oil pan instead of on the cams.

  • What a load of bull. Do they really think an engine can run without oil, and whats more why dont they fill the oil pan with sand rather than throwing it on the cams.

They are all there saying wow look at that, what do they expect it to do, blow up the second they pour it on and cut the hose? Ffs, come on, if its got big end bearings and pistons like any other engine it will blow eventually even with no oil, let alone sand and grit.

  • ahahahahahaha....why don't they keep it running a few more minutes..... LOL

  • 2:53 its a different engine ..

  • That doesn't sound like a smallblock mopar at 6k at the end.

  • So your saying if i add sand to my motor it'll run better?

  • What Ever Im not crazy that motor wouldnt of lasted 5 mins with out oil then when u put sand in it would of blowen rite then!!

  • You can get away with this with an old OHV V8 because of the tolerances of the engine are so sloppy. Not to say the Product isn't helping. I would like to see them do this to a DOHC SOHC Honda or Toyota engine or a Mercedes engine. I would be more inclined to believe in their product if they didn't use a 40 year old motor.

  • way to ruin a good 318

  • U can do that to any engine and bepending on how good its built some will last long then others but this can happen and some engines will take it for quite a while

  • IT WORKS!!! lmao your retarded if you believe this guy.

  • That's the smoothest V8 Mazda Rotary engine I've ever seen...

  • @youthinasia303 I know that old OVH V8 Mazda Rotary must be a collectors item.

  • and know where going to remove the fuel and ignition, and watch how she even runs smother, this is amazing

  • @marjan8888 You must be right! If you add this stuff to your engine it becomes a Perpetual Motion Engine.

  • that's a chrysler engine for ya!!!

  • this proves chrstlers dodges are touph none of there pro whatever bs

  • It should also be said, this stuff isn't exactly "oil". If you look up the hauling and storage specs for the Prolong product, it's pretty weird. First off, It's heavier than water (oil is lighter than water). It doesn't have to be stored or transported as Flammable, like oil does. In fact, the only hazard rating it gets is a "1" for Poisonous, which is the lowest rating (MSG is more poisonous). I suspect it's some kind of a silicon-based stuff, but I have no real idea.

  • I had a '98 Dodge Ram, with a 318 (5.2L), manual transmission, 4x4. I ran Mobil1 0w40, and a 10% mix of Prolong. I had knocked the sensor out of the rear diff, and thought the oil light was part of all the malfunctions (cracked the oil filter too. It was a fun weekend). Accidentally, for a week, to work and home, I drove with no oil, and the damn engine never even ticked, until that Friday. Hell, it didn't even run warmer than normal. I have to say, the stuff works.

  • oh my god he poured sand where the shit is protected from going down into the cylinders

  • lol

  • pour that sand down the carb throat and then see what happens...

  • Why don´t people learn that demonstrations like this is always fake or something close to that!

Any engine can run for a pretty long time without oil or cooling, especially one of those cast iron engines like the one in the show.

About the sand; It doesen´t in this case do anything more to the engine than the lack of oil does........

If it´s heavy sand it would sink to the bottom of the oil pan as soon as it´s inserted to the engine, and would do no harm to the engine it self.....

  • "its empty of oil as you can see by the window in the oil pan"...if the oil is drained out of it why waste the time building a fucking window when you can just take the damn pan off....

  • Heh...

If they really wanted to stop that engine a teaspoon of sand in the right place would do it in seconds.

Pouring sand over the rocker arms won't do shit.

The water in the oil pan was enough to lubricate the engine for a long time because water is a great lubricant....once the sand has settled below the oil pickup it is not a factor.

This is just a phony bunch of bullshit that only proves that the average consumer will believe anything.

  • I did this test on my own car, Its been running on water and sand for two years now doesnt leak a drop of water.

  • the sand wouldnt have any effect on this engine it hhas no oil to circulate it so its just sittn on the engine

  • Oh yeah, this sure is believable. Absolute horseshit.

  • @rrip1

QFT! That didn't even look like they actually went to 6,000 RPM either.

  • yeah, the trick was that they draind the oil. If the sand would have had a way to be sucked into the pump, it wouldn't have went like that.-- Bullshit gimmick for dumb asses.

  • naw bullshit.

  • it's a Trick!....they're using the Alberta oil sands.....

  • Bullshit

  • i think thier tack is broke :/

  • Thats the slowest sounding 6,000 RPM I've ever heard! lol. At 6K V8s are loud and you can tell they are turning hard. This sounded more like 2,500 MAYBE 3,000.

  • Stupid people dont even know what they are talking about i wanted them to over fill the pan with water then with sand see how well that shit works then

  • can i just say that salesmen are like lawyers, lawyers are like the devil, the devil..... well there you go. an engine will run for a fair amount of time after if not revved to the shit house if its a good oil yes, but just remember to get sand into vital engine components you need oil to get it there, so no oil is benificial here. plus the fan blew most of the sand away. and to get sand into the sump means it has to fal down about 4 oil return drains, which didnt really happen here

  • That Chrysler Engine is sitting going. " Are you really fucking kidding me?"

  • first off try switching the button in the back of the tach from 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder. no fuckin way was that engine hitting 5000 -6000 rpm. try half that!!!

    WHAT A BULLSHIT DEMONSTRATION!!!

  • Where's the control subject?

  • In Australia there's a similar product available, and to prove it's effectiveness, they treated a six cylinder engine with it,then drained the oil,and drove it over 500 kilometre's with no problems at all..the test was monitored by officials to prove it was all above board and that no oil was added to the engine for the duration of the test.so these products can and do work.

  • no oil in engine? piss off it still has oil pressure! you would not get oil pressure unless you have oil in the sump! twats

  • Chuck Norris uses sand on his engine as lubrication.

  • @blakegriplingph chuck norrs uses sand insted of ky jelly

  • 3 years later and she still purrs like kitten

  • I call bullshit on this as well, even if it was genuine you'd be very stupid to stand next to an engine that could go bang at any moment.

  • hmmmm i love the fact you cannot see the side of the engine.. probably because theres some pulley on the camshaft making it look like the lifters and shit are working and theres prob an engine underneath.. lmfao theres like no way this would work

  • these guys dont seem very professionall at all. lets cut the coolant hose and spray antifreeze everywhere!

  • I pour sand in my engine all the time, to this day still runs perfect, its got no valve covers and the oil pan gasket is shot. but its still running today, hell I dont even have a radiator on it, it must be a Chevy

  • @JDTVEXTREMEVIDEOS *coughs* bullshit. not possible son

  • Wow! Look how smooth its running!

  • Fuckn infomercial

  • Wow this is total shit not impressive at all.

  • I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshit on that.

  • That engine is fucked, regardless of what kind've snake oil you pour in it. I wonder how warped the line bore was after that stint without coolant?

  • poor it down the carbureter

  • Are we all complete idiots to be deceived by this rubbish?

  • bande d imbécile d'américain

  • throw some sand up into that crankshaft lets see if its still running like a new engine lmao

  • They used ford and chev V8's the first couple of times with bad results

  • Only because its a tough as nails MOPAR V8

  • Prolong didn't do shit. That's all MOPAR baby!

  • RUN IT AT REV LIMITER!!!!!

  • Prolong my ass.... That engine is screwed either way. Give me a break. Im sure that sand did a number on the bearings and rocker arms however this is a mechanical operation so it will take some time for the engine to start to show signs of breakdown. Engines will continue to run without oil and water for a very long time as long as you can keep heat away from it. Yes prolong might have helped in lubrication but NO product is going to protect from rocks and shit in a engine...

  • Holy Crap! Bob Eubanks is still alive!!!!

  • Hey Sparky... Hate to ruin your hippy communist socialist bullshit speech... but Prolong is U.K. material. So STFU about America.

  • @AbernathyJackass That reliable American V8 just sold a phony U.K. crap material tho.

  • 6,000 rpm's ? At 6,000 rpm's that engine would be ROARING. Sounded more like 1000 or so to me.

  • I wonder how much money JE got for mentioning them in a video for motor-up-type-shit variant

  • an engine that had any type of good quality synthetic oil run through it, could survive for a while like this...

  • For those of you that think there is no sand INSIDE the engine, you are wrong.... oil that is brought to up to the rocker arms must go back to the oil pan....there are holes in the head for the oil to drain back into the oil pan, thus letting sand get into the oil pan.

  • snake oil

  • What a shit video, proved fuk all

  • wow sand on the engine, on no moving parts, other than rockers, which are not really a necissary part to have oiled... put this motor up against the exact same without your miracle elixir and lets see how they compare

  • I HAVE THE ULTIMATE TEST FOR A CAR ENGINE , GIVE IT TO A MOTHER/.WOMAN WITH 5 KIDS FOR A FEW DAYS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. IF THERE IS A FLAW THE WILL FIND IT.

  • I can believe an engine running with no oil in it for a little while and/or with no oil pan, but I'm still going to put this goop treatment in the "snake oil" file. I'll stick with adding a quart of Lucas Oil Treatment to my engines thank you.

  • smooth??? i bet u 100% that if the motor goes back into a vehicle WITH OUT CLEANING, it wont run Smooth.

  • dumb people

  • why do Americans always have to destroy perfectly good engines. All engines can run without oil and water for a certain amout of time.

  • @sparky198825 What - is it a stereotype wherever you live that Americans just destroy perfectly good engines for the fun of it or something? You sound like PETA protesting lab tests on animals! Don't worry - it's an engine - it doesn't have feelings... at the end of the day, it goes to a scrap yard where it gets melted down into a solid iron billet.

  • bullshit all cars can run without oil for a bit they turned the engine off before it seaced

  • Hell, the fan blew most of the sand away. LOLOL..

  • whats prolong?

  • @jawbreaker480 Pro Long is Penile Enlargement for men that have a small penis. Ask the ladies and you can bet their men take Pro Long too! Here's how to order!

  • i put 10 dollar oil in my nissan sunny n14.one day radiator stuck and all water was blown out.then the oil got cooked cause i kept it constand at 6-7k rpm on a 1 and half hour trip after that on twisty roads on 45 celcius weather temperature.when i reached my destination i put cold water all over the engine until it cold down.then i changed a head gasket had an engine head planation ,put new oil, bought a new radiator and car runs fine for 6 years after that 'treatment'

  • @Nismoke rofl

  • Oh wow sound better than a new one :)

    btw thats 1200rpm ;)

  • Americans are natural instinctive bullshitters.

  • why dont you leave it run at full throttle for 1 hour i bet it burns out way before that

  • OH MY GOD, OH MAN THATS NASTY AND AMAZING *says the paid audience*

  • What a crock of shit ...

  • It only kept rinning so wll cuz it was a chrysler engine :P

  • @ARoTheGreat ya right lol suprise dident blow up sooner lol being bankrupt twice

  • @WildMrECoyote lol they only went bankrupt cuz ppl cant afford quality :P haha

  • FOR HOW LONG WILL IT RUN.

  • more like sand on the engine, not sand in the engine......sand on the bearings would kill that engine..

  • @southwest82 You dont think the rockers are oiled? Oil drains back from the heads to the pan dumb ass. They show you the pan in the end. I'm not trying to promote whatever product this is. I'm sure if they had tested it on a ford, cheby or jap the results would have been cut short. Just a bulletproof motor. Dont hate

  • @moparerrnocar Dude, you should reconsider what you said. If the oil is DRAINED, the supply to the rocker arms is no longer there. Dumb ass Mopar nuts...Typical.

  • @southwest82 sand wil lock up the bearings tho

  • I dunno about an hour..

  • Comment removed

  • this is one of those scams that you would be dumb enough to fall for if you had no mechanical knoweldge firstly so called inside the engine is just the valves there is no way the sand can enter the engine from that point except the drain holes also the sand in the oil pan wouldnt have mattered because the crank isnt in contact. If you take any year old engine and remove oil and cooland it will still run for an hour because there is enough oil in the engine also the coolant is still in the engine

  • they should have poured it in the oil tube, not much sand can get in through the heads drain holes, but the sand will mess up the top end (valve springs) but it's hard to break a valve spring...

  • Damn people are retarded. That isn't a plug wire off. Listen to 1aceves, it's the goddamn PCV valve

  • bullshit demo just gimme the engine before the demo

  • Bullshit demo.

  • Looks like the "sand" was actually some big solid particles that won't get into anything, mixed with some fine dust that just blew away in the "wind" (strange how it's so windy near where the engine is and yet no breeze in the trees...)

  • @Gary190tube hahaha--the "wind" was from the engine-driven mechanical fan behind the radiator. Dangerous, but "windy" nonetheless. ;)

  • @Gary190tube clearly the radiator fan is still running (most likely belt driven) so obviously its going to be windy around the motor..

My trucks engine bay is windy as fuck when the air is still in the trees ;)

but still a shitty test lol

  • @Towlieee yeah, good point mate, I think you're right.

  • that looked like a 273 cubic inch small block Chrysler, and the reason it ran with

no oil pressure is that it had a mechanical valve train instead of hydraulic

which would have required oil pressure to continue running. this snake oil

that they are trying to sell is not magic, but to make it look like it is, they need

to choose their engines carefully. I have also seen this same sort of demonstration done with a slant 6 which also had solid lifters in the valvetrain

  • This goes to show you how good American engines really are!...if it were a Japanese or European piece of crap engine, it would've seized in the first 5 seconds with catastrophic engine failure!!

  • @1aceves ANY engine would have no issue running under the conditions they put it in for at least as long as this engine did, unless it was brand new and never run before.

  • @1aceves it was fake at 1:40 the spark plug wire was off and there was no misfiring. which should have occured

  • @gokartbuyer Dude, that's not a spark plug wire that has come off, you idiot!!!.....it's the PCV Valve rubber hose!!...it's for passing smog emissions, and it won't affect the running of the engine even if it's not connected!...nice try, but you lose!!!

  • Well that was importanat, How about not putting sand in the engine and using fresh oil. Just like manufacturer says to do. They know best.

  • Mighty strange that the lifters didn't collapse and start clattering. And what did we learn here, damned if I know. He did promise we will never see this crap demo again tho, thank-you.

  • @jlplace It had mechanical (solid) lifters.

  • I feel mighty bad when I see things like this: breaking something which still works.

  • The sand can't do anything there. And an engine can run for awhile without oil. More then 3 minutes

  • Put sodium silicate into the oilpan.

If it still runs at high rpm after that, I'm sold!!

  • @jb0177 bro i would buy one too if it still ran

  • @jb0177 That stuff should be made illegal.

  • bullshit

  • Pfff. now let's see them get more than 50 miles out of that engine. What a load of shit.

  • FAKE AND GAY!!

  • And now, stop to fool us and put sand right in the intake and see what happens. Sand is just deposting on top of the head damn foolers

  • How the fuck could that engine blow by dropping sand on top of cams ??? Sand is not even going into the cylinder. Remember that an engine can run atleast 1 hour without oil.

  • these guys said they were running the engine at 6000 rpm with the oil pan off, that was horseshit, i do a little racing myself and by the sound of the engine it was only running at about 1800 rpm, but it is the best bullshit comercial i have ever seen.

  • this says nothing about the product, it just means that it's a darn good engine.
