Sadly, people are so stuck up on how two disney channel stars are getting the voice roles ad not some random voice actor only weeaboos take time to learn about and worship. Sadly, no one cares. But maybe if you didn't get your knickers in a twist every time this happens and type in all caps you wouldn't care either. See the movie, they did okay.

i'm confused, Goldfish are freshwater creatures and if ponyo is a marine creature, wouldn't that kid need more than just a bucket of water to keep her alive like say a protein skimmer?

This was sucha CUTE and Fantastic movie, although I find it kind of comical how this trailer tried to make it seem so much more "Epic" than it really is. XD

They picked all these random disney star kids to bring them more publicity, they should try hard to find GOOD voices, instead of popular child actors.

the kids they picked arent bad, just not right for the parts they were given

I just saw the movie in english theaters and I thought everyone did a great job, Ponyo's voice did grate a bit, but she is a kid after all. XD

yes and no, they took the concept of what was nothing but a doll in one movie and a turned it into a fictional fantasy with a whole new story line, a new main character and a whole new plot of its own.

They do have connection, but they dont flow together as a connecting story so they arent really sequels

I had seen it already before seeing the English one last night. I forgot how long it was and got out of the theater at midnight.

I don't know if kids will like it, I saw a lot of fidgeting with the kids around us. It's pretty long, with some slow parts, but it's just not one of those flashy American kids movies lol LYK G FORCE, ugh.

The movie does have a charm to it though and I still mildly enjoyed seeing it again.

It's not Miyazaki's best...buuuut it's still good.

In the U.S. movies get more publicity if big shot well-known actors are in them. I don't know if you have seen the english version of The Cat Returns but in there they had Anne Hathaway, Peter Boyle, Tim Curry, etc. And in My Neighbor Totoro they had Dakota Fanning and her sister. Oh and in Nausicaa they had Shia Labeouf and Patrick Stewart.

the voices are fine, they used little kids for the kids and everything else is fine. you kno there is a difference between an americans voice from a japanese voice right?

its normal to feel that way, you just have to give it a chance. like when funimation bought one piece from 4kids it took a while for me to get used to the voices (even from sanjis brooklyn accent to a regular accent) but im super happy that 4kids dont have their grimy hands on it anymore
