@zodiaccharm The Discovery Channel University series titled Conquistadors was the best I've seen. It is a 3-part series beginning with Cortes's conquest and ending with Pizarro's death.

It is 11-19-08. I just acquired an Original1847, Prescott's "Conquest of Peru", 2 volumes. (originaly $4 ea! expensive.) and I am reading of Atahuallpa and how he was treated.

The Incas were a short lived empired who rose to prominence in Peru in the years before the Spanish arrived by killing or conquering tribes. One of the reasons the Incas went down so quickly is that their enemies helped the Spaniards. The Incas were bastards and got what they doled out to everyone else.

Interesante!. Pizarro es un persnaje que aparecio en nuestra historia en la Conquista del Imperio Inca. La forma como lo hizo es cuestionable. Sin embargo su presencia en nuesta historia marco el inicio de na nueva etapa para esta parte del mundo. Algunos ven con resentimiento lo que hizo Pizarro y su gente, quienes se aprovecharon de la abundancia de oro de los Incas. En fin! es la historia y quizas los rezagos aún vivimos ahora.
