  • Here in Phoenix (Tempe) on the ASU campus there is a store called the "Hippie Gypsie" and I don't think most if any of those kids have a fathom of two inklings of picomeasure of a concept of half a notion where that name comes from...

  • oooh, i can hardly wait to have my own "home-on-wheels"! ~*

  • Yes, Keith Moon's drumming is about the best in history, It is a lead instrument, played with panache, energy and emotion, so great.

  • 40 Years on and it still kicks ass!! (released in 1971)

  • i need to get mobile!

  • Keith,we still love ya.x

  • great!! thx

  • "Play the tape machine

    Make the toast and tea

    When I'm mobile..."

Yes, when this album came out, we'd listen to it on the 8-track tape player in my boyfriend's VeeWee as we drove up and down the California coast with our Thai stick morning tea.

35 years later, and I'm still a hippie gypsy, goin' mobile with my flash drive and iPod.

I may be old, but Pete, Keith, and John will live and play forever.

    The Who ftw!

  • @beadbop completely ignoring roger

  • @beadbop Amen Brother.

  • @MrRyan2112 Hallelujah, sistah! ;)

  • Townsend sang like a pussy in those days. What a wimp. His guitar playing suffered for it too.

  • @TruthAxe Oh, piss OFF.

Don't listen to the 'oo if ya don't like 'em, and just stick with yer bloody Aerosmith. Wanker.

  • @RattyPiss Oh Ratty dear Ratty. If I weren't already married, and you weren't a rodental unit, I would marry you in a flash. You are my kind of rat. Whisker kisses to you!

Watch the police and the taxman miss me, I'm MOBILE! [beep beep]

  • @TruthAxe Pete Townshed is a badassssss

  • great ....

  • the dislike button really doesnt make much sense since you type this song in and clicked on the video. Dont kid yourself. you all like it

  • Keith Moon is the best drummer of all time! What did he have to influence him back then? Hardly anyone! His style was like one big "fill in enigma" on the drums is what I call it!

No one can ever be as good as he was!

  • "Im an air conditioned gypsy." :)

  • UHHMMM... YEAH!

  • For all you engaged in the Keith Moon vs. Neil Peart debate, I have a riddle for you....what do you call people who hang out with musicians? DRUMMERS.

  • Why hasn't hasn't a mobile phone company latched on to this for a commercial?

  • "watch the police and the tax man miss me" gets me every time!

  • Who is better The Who or Rush?

  • @doughnutboy99 Rush, without question. Getty Lee and Neil Peart? Keith doesnt even come close.

  • @blackpassenger No you're wrong. To say Keith Moon doesn't even come close is ridiculous. Neil Peart technically speaking is a better drummer than Keith Moon, but Keith Moon has so much more energy and emotion in his style of drumming and I'll take that over technical superiority any day. Rush does kick ass though. They're one of the few bands that can match The Who's talent, I'd still give The Who the edge though.

  • @blackpassenger they are both good drummers anyway both guitarist are very good but John Entwistle wins hands down

  • @blackpassenger you have no idea what you are talking about. i bet you also like dick.lmao...

  • @whokeithmoon I bet youre not very bright.

  • @whokeithmoon YOUR MOM LIKES DICK, SHE'S A CERTIFIED COCKSUCKER, I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE DUDE.

  • @blackpassenger Rush sucks bad

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN and you, my friend, are a crack smoker

  • "out in the woods or in the city, it's all the same to me when I'm driving free.." love the transitions in this song.

  • Beep beep!

  • The Who plus 2 of today will never even scratch the greatness of what the original line up was. I love Pete and Rog, but come on, at least change the name of whatever your line up is now. NOT the Who without John and Keith.

  • @gcola100 Pete and Rog are the heart of the band and always have been. yeah keith and john played a very big role in the band, but theirs wasnt key. Without Pete or Rog, then it wouldnt be the who, but as long as these two can stand, they're gonna be playing under the name of The Who whether you like it or not...and i hope they never stop

  • we need more likes please hit like

  • I had this album on 8-track !!

  • the drums are great in this

  • $@!# ke$ha, sean kingston, jay-z, eminem, THIS is music

  • 1S+~* of the 9th Sunny AIR CALV SON~* AIR MOBiLE.....

  • RIP keith moon. teach Jesus how to play the drums

  • Gotta Love The Drums!

  • superb

  • as longb as people enjoy this track keith lives on

  • Pete, John and Keith recorded this in the studio all playing together with Pete singing in one take. Synthasizer was added later.

  • I saw The Who live at the Fillmore East, NYC May '69 with It's A Beautiful Day ( White Bird) and Sweetwater. A fire started next door. The fire dept wanted the concert stopped so a plain clothes policeman stormed the stage. He tried to grab Pete Townshend's microphone. Pete kicked him in the groin! He doubled over. The crowd cheered as he was dragged off the stage. The band sang one more song: Summertime Blues. Then the police and firemen forced us to exit out to the back alley. Good times!

  • Who plays drums on this track?

  • @keithmoon88 I am tentatively calling sarcasm on this one

  • This is a very old song from the Who. My brother-in-law gave me the eight track. Was not on their greatest hits album, although I really like it. And Let's See Action, from the same album. Loved that eight track! I remembered the name of this song, but couldn't remember the song name of Let's See Action. I sang a refrain from the song, he looked it up on his album & pointed to it right away. And it's on You Tube. Let's see Action is a great song that didn't get the recognition it deserved!

  • bip bip.

  • I love Pete's quip--I don't care about pollution, I'm an air-conditioned gypsy, That's my solution. Global warming my ASS--

  • i hope you realize he's being facetious

  • This is like ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER and THE WHO is the best band to ever exist

  • "Watch the police and the taxman miss me" is my favorite line and one of the coolest lyrics of any song by The Who. Isn't it so true? Keep it mobile...

  • no bass?

  • I was hoping this song was about him going to Mobile, AL (my hometown) haha

Great song to listen to as I'm heading to Mobile!!

  • OMG!!! DO YOU SEE THE LEPRECHAUN?

  • @MobileBama not a chance

  • I've got it all here in my head...theres nothin' more needs to be said.

  • I don't care about pollution

    I'm an air-conditioned gypsy

    That's my solution

Watch the police and the tax man miss

    me

    I'm mobile

    Oooooh, yeah, hee!

  • If you don't like this song you have no friends!

  • YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!

  • One of my favorite songs ever...with one of my favorite drum parts ever. Right at 2:29, he had pulled up just for a sec, and just digs the fuck in.

I used to have a hard time keeping the car under 90 when driving to this song. You just wanna floor it.....

I love Jon Bonham, but Keith Moon is My Man.

I'd kill to see footage of him doing this track.....spit flyin' from his mouth....

  • my dad's friend named his boat after this song : )

  • best drums ever

  • just listen to those drum strokes

  • great song for when you're the road, obviously

  • The drums are SICK in this song. It's pretty cool because up until the end, the guitar is acoustic, but Keith is just beating the crap out of his kit. We will all miss one of the greatest drumming talents-EVER.

  • @brikrantz guitar is always acoustic, the solo you are hearing was done with a wah pedal and synth

  • Moon is right there with bonham and Peart. They're the best.

  • most certainly sir.

  • One of the greatest drum tracks ever laid down period. God Bless Kieth Moon.

  • BEEP BBEP

    Keith Moon Best Drummer Ever

    RIP Moon

  • I might have to agree with you

  • woop there it is

great song i mean just listen to the drums
