Great tone!! What kind of neck is that? Is is just the regular rosewood or did you get some treatment on the wood? I can't get rid of some extra buzz on my fretless jazz bass..
When I first started playing, I thought that because it didn't have frets, I wouldn't get fret buzz. Instead I got fretboard buzz. Before you do anything to your neck, try raising your action. Do it the same way you would with a fretted bass. Minor bridge/saddle adjustments should fix and buzzing.
That's not true... He practiced both fretted and fretless, and played both on gigs and recordings... He recorded Portrait of Tracy, Teen Town, Come On Come Over, and many others with fretted... That was a matter of sound.... He speaks a little about his time practicing fretless on his instructional video..
