    You are correct. You're supposed to control the weight.  2 seconds up and 4 seconds down. He's just using momentum to get reps.

  • your wrong you can slow down and keep your youth at any age with high intensity interval training such as hill sprints and functional muscle training you body will be leaner and you will stay stronger your whole life if you keep up with it at least 3 day a week here try one of my work out ill give you a smal easy one put 135 on a bar (1 hip clean 1 press 1 front squat 2 lunges ) all that counts as one you can not put the bar down and you haf to do it in under 20 min tell me how you feel after

  • its all right but pepole need to stop body building and start athletic training such as cross fit , high octane workouts , oylimic lifts. strength that counts it better for you as an athlete and later on less joint injurys and better body fitness when you hit later ages such as 60,70 years old trust me i will be receiveing my PHD in nutrition, and i am a certified athletic trainer

  • @spam2094 Its more about different things, when somebody says someone is doing it wrong. With less weight you can reach the same level when you train optimal. Also it can be more secure or stuff like that. But i don't wonder why some guys in preference boast with a higher weight they can handle instead of using less weight but optimal. Same with pushups. Doing it slowly makes it hard to do 20. So they do them hastily and say the can do 50.

  • @MikeW259 Mark Henry was never ever world's strongest man, nor was Andy Bolton. Andy has a huge deadlift and Mark had two big lifts in the Olympics as well as ONE good showing at the arnold classic. Neither of them are the strongest man. Hell they've neither even competed in the WSM contest.

  • @MikeW259 Well who I honestly don't know who the world's strongest man is. Mariusz Pudzianowski won the WSM 5 times but as many people pointed out he has a lot of trouble with brute strength with submaximal loads in events like the Arnold classic. But I think a lot of that has to do with the fact he tries so hard to have a balance of strength, speed, and endurance in his training. He may very well be the WSM, but we would never know unless he trained purely for power. My best guess for the

  • @MikeW259 world's most PROVEN strongest man is is Zydrunas Savickas because he has dominated so many different strength medley events as well as competitions that focus more on maximal strength like the Arnold classic. And recently he dominated WSM twice, making the competition look pathetic in comparison. Last year only Mariusz came relatively close and even then he was edged out by a significant margin. But then again Benedict Manusson recently broke the deadlift WR so who knows.

  • @rexirexi By proper form you mean only working out the lats and biceps? It looks like he is working out his lower back muscles through this as well. I like to utilize as many muscles as possible in a workout for strength. Maybe in bodybuilding it is better to work out each muscle separately to ensure you are getting the right amount of exercise for each muscle for proportion, but this workout appears to be strength-oriented.

  • @bartek4443 ok, i buy that, if it's strength oriented you are absolutely right, but if he is doing this workout for muscle definition or mass, he is doing it wrong. I have been working out for 7 years now, and I have discovered that form is the most important element if you want defined muscles and mass, not weight.
