Foremost, thank you from the bottom of my heart for uploading this wonderful Shiv Rudrastakam. It is beautiful, uplifting and has a deep cleansing quality.
I have searched for quite some time in the hope of finding the meaning of Shiv Rudrastakam in English but to no avail. Although listening to this transports many of us into a peaceful reality -- it would be even better if some learned person could translate this into English for the benefit of others like me. All of humanity is born hindu....until they say the shahadah or get baptised or get dogmatised under a particular faith. Hinduism is a way of life and to be a Hindu you dont need to convert. All you have to do is embrace the way of life. Of purity and of belief in the non existence of heaven and hell, belief in the karmic cycle and rebirth. Its probably the only religious concept that has some measure of emperical evidence to substantiate it, albeit widely disregarded and rejected by the west.

Just because a person doesn't follow a standard norm (Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam) does not mean that person does not believe in God. If a person has his or her own way of praying to the Almighty, then so be it. Every other person in a certain religion just accepts that religious belief as "the way" of attaining salvation.
