im ordering a corn snake and it says caolina corn(cb11) what does the cb11 mean does that mean captive bread and born in 2011 and its 30cm long so what size of mice would you recomend? and would it be better to get a male or female. thanks:)
I have NO idea what "cb11" stands for at all. haha. I would start with pinkie mice, that should be fine. Gender doesn't matter with these snakes. The females get a little larger, but other than that there isn't much difference.
i got my corn snake today.its a baby. and its a little smaller then yours, i was handling him today. hes not scared. and he doesnt coil up , is it okay if i handle him?
btw.... i think the terrarium's a bit too hydrated though, the hygrometer says 90% (i turned on the heatmat for her all night with the waterdish near the heatmat)
my mom wont let get a corn snake for christmas cause she thinks it can bite and she thinks there bad animals please help me and list reasons why there ok
I'm afraid you'll have to do that on your own. However, they are very friendly, chilled snakes, rarely bite. When they do it's not bad. Doesn't really hurt, bleeds a little but not much. Snakes are a creation of God. His design can't be "bad". Even venomous snakes aren't bad, they just require respect. :)
i think it's a butter motley... but im no corn snake expert

No. It needs at least 3 days to relax in it's new home. Just leave it alone and let it get used to it's new environment.

why does my corn snake not move smoothly on my palms ? Is it because i have sweaty hands LOL how do i fix that
eddy536 3 months ago
@eddy536 :
That is probably it. But check and be sure that your snake isn't dehydrated and that it's shedding properly. :)

If someone has not told you yet, your corn snake is a hypo, short of "hypomelanistic," meaning that it lack black pigments.

i would probably say some type of motley . . . as it has circle patterns on its back. Is it a caramel colour or like brown? But nice snake
GuitarGuy872 1 year ago
It's closer to carmel color, like a light orange cream color.
Thanks for the comment!
