  • Toppie

  • cool tune

  • This is my #1 favorite Christmas song!!

  • Great song. It came off the Ventures 1965/66 Christmas Album.

  • @ddmajeski This is actually the 2002 version from Christmas Joy.

  • fun run and girls ! thanks

  • I listen to this even when it's not christmas.

  • What the fuck! You are a retard! Way to add 3 minutes of nothing.

  • I NEED THE CHORDS FOR THIS ANY1 PLS!!!!

  • @alteco123123123 : This is a total curve ball in terms of surf sleigh rides I have heard. IT starts out with an A-G-F-E Walk, DOnt Run intro than in the main section it is a C-Am-Dm-G, like the Melody of Perfidia. The "giddy up" is based on a F#m7-B-E formula, than transposes down to Em7-A-D and the D sustains throught "These wonderful things are blah blah..." Repeat all. @2:22 this version goes into a Perfidia bridge break and key change, one step up and than continues in D instead of C.

  • tabs pls

  • This is on the playlist at work, and I LOVE IT!

  • I love them thanks!!

  • I LOVE this!!!!!!!!!

    HOLLISTER<3

  • NOT THE ORIGINAL VERSION!!!

  • @MARKYMARK2222 Indeed not the original version, but the Perfidia based drum fill bridge was pretty clever.

  • favirite group when when i was teenager. Thanks for the upload. are they still around?

  • @kinatube

They sure are, except for the drummer (Mel Taylor) who passed away in 1996. His son is the drummer now.

I saw them in NY last year. Great.. as always.

  • AlexRGravlin, you may be thinking of "twistin' bells" by "santo & johnny", of "sleepwalk" fame.

  • Haha, I appreciate it, but two days after I posted that, a friend helped me identify it with some complex technology. You were right.

  • Can someone please identify another Christmas song for me? It's "Jingle Bells". Fully instrumental. Played on a Hawaiian-style steel guitar. Fast tempo. Probably from the 50's or 60's. And it's NOT the Ventures.

  • lol its like mixing walk don't run and sleigh ride in a blender.

  • GREAT SELECTION!!! THE VENTURES ARE THE BEST!!! A+A+A+A+A+

    Five Stars!!!

  • I had the original album with the instruments on the cover as a kid. Wish I still had it. Great to hear it again.

  • this is the version from their second christas album called "Christmas Joy"

  • love this sound....especially in the high parts....

    beautiful work...

  • This song is great.....other pop Christmas songs don't come close to this.....

  • lol he jazzed up the song... or maybe it was already a jazz... O.o idk it jsut a great jazzy christmas song?

  • ya i love this song!!!

  • Fender Jazzmaster tone! I love it!

  • I think they were playing Mosrites by the time this came out (from the Ventures Christmas LP).

  • Hmm, release date of 2002. In that era Bob would be playing a custom guitar and Don Wilson on the Jazzmaster.

    The guiar sounds match up.

Search for: The Ventures live Perfidia+ Walk Don't Run Medley.

  • But this was released in the 1960-1970s.

  • Unless this is a RE-release.

  • Oh sorry it IS a later version. My error.

  • Interesting version! It's different than the one on the LP. I remember playing Dad's old one on vinyl during the holidays. Thanks for sharing!

  • the ventures are ownage

  • toffe sound.

  • lol

  • ^_^ Happy, happy times... My dad has been playing this song for Xmas for as long as I can remember. Great memories!

  • Very interesting...Wish you all a Surfing Christmas ^^

  • I've never heard this one before. Not bad well, I'm very impressed. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is an interesting version that the Ventures did, by changing the keys (similar to Perfidia). It wasn't like that on the Christmas Album.

    Still...great stuff. Keep playing Ventures.

  • Chistmas with the Ventures. I have a vinyl cut. It's not for sale. =Stefan=
