The Ref was just too close to what was going during that first incident, and you have to hold the Ref accountable for letting that go on. The Ute player that was working Denny over like that should have been ejected right there on the spot. The fact that the Ref was right not top of that situaiton and did not act, should have resulted in that Ref being suspended and loosing his credentials. He did not do his job and needed to be discliplined for that

Hey genius, in case you didn't now, most of those Utah wins in the early years came before the rivalry started regularly switching back and forth between Salt Lake City and Provo every other year. Most of the games were in Salt Lake before the mid-1960's. In any event, Utah hit it's peak in 2004. Every since then it's been all downhill. Their win over BYU in 2005 was a fluke. Now, BYU is back at the top of the conference where it belongs. Get used to it chump.

out of those 39 games 29 were played in salt lake. BYU deserved 19 of those games, so only 9 games are suspect.

Right off the bat, we can see that even if we omitted 9 wins from Utah's record (and the games against BYA), we still lead the rivalry 40-30-4, holding a 10 game lead on your cougs...

When you're putting up an average of 42 points a game, it doesn't matter who you're playing. It's not like Utah's schedule is any easier. In fact, BYU's is harder simply because they have to play TCU and Utah on the road. Right now BYU is ranked #7 and #8 and as long as they keep winning they will deservingly go to a BCS game.
