@1969fordtruck Ford does have have some ownership in Kia (since 1986 or so), but Hyundai owns the controlling interest in the company (since is went through bankruptcy in 1998). If you look at Kia you will see they currently share platforms with Hyundai (Engines, etc...). So your right that ford does own some of Kia, but not the controlling interest.

I have an 08 Sorento and have been hit 2 times in it and LOVE my Sorento, they are SAFE!! Regardless what people say, the 1st time I was hit in the rear and the other driver was going approx 40mph, and the 2nd time I was struck on the drivers front corner around 20mph, I am highly thankful for having an suv, THANK YOU KIA!!
