Dan Hardy was tough. The arm was locked but St-Pierre couldn't snap it because he didn't turn the wrist during the armbar, it was just flat laying up. If you have someone in an armbar (right arm for example) you are supposed to twist the right arm clockwise so the elbow faces up.
