  • hey! heres an idea! how about being responsible for not losing your property!

  • @toddmastria1 really? my brother got his ipod token right outta his hands!

  • All apple needs to do is add an extra field into their database for an IP address. I wouldn't be surprised if their database already had an IP address field in it.

  • @zimtower IP addresses are mostly dynamic these days, so it'd be pointless to store them.

  • @Synergy9k ISPs are required by law to keep DHCP logs for at least 30 days.

  • @zimtower Oh? That's interesting.

  • somebody stole my ipod at gun point.. i wanted ot beat the shit out of him but hey a gun is a gun. fucking black dude yooo

  • Are you kidding me? Dateline paid $40,000 for some shitty software that merely records the details the user inputs and that's it? Fuck me, I need to get a job with NBC designing software for them.

  • @YOUGOTLOLLED LOOOOL Thats what I was thinking they paid $40k for one freaking piece of software. Shit, I couldn't developed a crack for $10k and gone home with a smile. $40k ... dham someones got way too much money to spend.

  • @YOUGOTLOLLED yep I was about to say the same LOL. dateline appears to have been scammed in this story hahahaahh

  • get a zune

  • this is why i dont buy into something trendy and rather get another mp3 player from another company.... the sole purpose of a mp3 player is to play songs and for that you dont need an ipod only .. get something else

  • And another thing. I use an iPod I bought off eBay. So that means i will have no way of confirming the original owner, unless I ask him for his name and address. That it just taking the piss! Its an absolute joke. Other companies use methods such as tracing devices to alert the company of its whereabouts... Apple? they use this problem to try and make more money. Hell why don't they assist people in finding them? Because the customer then buys a new one. Apple makes more dough.

  • oh yeah!!!, what a great idea - "you can only charge your iPod if you hook it up to itunes first!!!!!" it's just another way to tie you to DRM. lots of people can't use itunes because they don't use proprietary OSes.

even if you had a legally bought ipod why would you give apple your real name and address? i've never given my real name for anything online. i'm not really called jdhf983y4uhu, i made that up!

how stupid are those people in this program? - very stupid xD i'm not stupid :D

  • Yes, you are right. It is tying people to software, making it difficult to use other software. I use Winamp, because its quick, free and works. For some reason, iTunes never worked on my PC. It just crashed on first open. So, rather than attempt to play at the hands of the clowns running Apple, i decided to use software that works. Stopping me from doing so, is just another way for them to market their product and narrow the capacity of software competitors in the market.
