If you're not comfortable with The Crossing's ways- then don't go. Oh, and I didn't go because of any giveaways or bribes. I went because every time i drove by everyone at the church was so friendly and non-judgemental. And I instantly knew this was where God wanted me when I attended the 1st service. I wasn't baptised as a child; and a year ago I would've told you I never would be. But as I've said before- the Crossing changed my life and relationship with God.

I was trying to explain about "happiness" & how whether or not something "makes us happy", doesn't automatically = "good". What's our definition of "happy"? God's ideas of happiness/blessing are often quite different than ours. What's best for us isn't always what makes us happy. We like to quote Jer. 29:11, but do we read it in context? It's about people being severely punished by God (death & exile). He's saying punishment won't last forever, not "I'll give you what you want."

I have attended The Crossing Church in Elk River, MN for just over a year. I started going on Easter of 2010 and it is indeed the best thing that has EVER happened to my family, friends and i. As a weekly attender and regular volunteer of this amazing church i can honestly say this place, and these people are making a HUGE impact on people's lives.. and in a good way.
