I went to Samosir to see some old traditional Batak's houses they are looks very different with the one in this vid. the ones in this video way very simpler. Maybe the ones we see now are modified,they looks a bit more modern and fancy

As I know there are three different songs from Sumatra.The first one is an Minangkabau song, the second is from 0:49 Batak north sumatra, the last one is from 1:59 Aceh.
