A little sketchy!? Barack Obama is the worst president to ever come to power with his socialized healthcare, government interference, creation of war, and infringing people's personal liberty.
I am sick and tired of the Constitution being run over by mad men in suits. The schools also need to get a grip and remember that these children are not theirs. Keep your political views to yourself while teaching our children. It is not up to you to instill values and morals, only to teach without bias.
From here on out, if I speak of my president in opposition I will direct it toward the white side of him. I think many forget that he is half black and white, white and black. It is not about race. So get off the race card.
What I have seen among these commentors is a definite cult of personallity for Bush. It seems that many of these commentors think Bush is a demigod, and if you read their posts, "this is no longer about bush" you'll see what I mean.
Obama is following Bush's lead 100%. He is doing the same, but it seems that some are jealous because Bush and Cheney are no longer in power.
I didn't vote for Obama, never will. But what I see here is Bushmania.
I agree Obama is following Bush's lead in spending but the views (about America) of these two men are very different. I am not a follower of Bush or Obama. Obama wants (is) to fundamentally change the country, his words not mine. Take us to a place that will take years to recover. Call it what you want, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck.. well... your answer is DUCK. Moderates stand strong, all Republicans, Dem's, and Independents. I am a mom, I do not like this direction.
I agree with you completely. However, your conclusion is incomplete. I'm glad to see that you are not mixing one cult of personality for another like so many others here who have Bush dolls at home and cry.
The direction is not of Obama's choosing. He's merely the mouthpiece. Those who bought and paid for the Republicrat Party want their ROI and they will get it. It's not stand strong, it's dump the elite and get back to a country for the people, not for the elite.
President Bush's approval rating was so low that I don't think that there are that many that are crying. President Obama is not,I believe, a mouthpiece for their cause. He is front and center. The far left have been working for years to perfect the "fundamental change of the US". We the people have been living our lives, in some cases blind to these facts. You, me and all the American people need to watch, listen, and take action so that we do not lose our Constitutional Rights.
Go to topkid10 if you want the latest Bush action figure. There are other places as well. As far as "rights" are concerned, we lost those in 2001.
The Patriot Act I & II took away habeas corpus. We've lost posse comitatus. We lost the Davis-Bacon Act so now minimum wage can be paid for any government work.
The far left doesn't exist in the US. If you're afraid of them, then you don't see straight.
As far as President Obama choosing, your right he is not choosing, he has chosen. If you go back and watch the campaign he is very open to his plans, he did not beat around the bush. He came right out, share the wealth, It seems he is choosing his path carefully, these are smart, well educated people do not think for one min. that this is not carefully planed out. I hope other's feel the way I do, I worked for what I have and you can't just take it away from me. I don't want what is yours.
His plans are definitely clear. He plans on supporting an invasion of Iran, even though Iran poses no threat to the US. He plans on continuing the illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan even though it's our presence that keeps much of the violence going. And he plans on continuing the transfer of wealth to tptb. Bush started it and Obama continues it. They own him and they want their money, yours too, and they'll get it.
As far as getting rid of the elite, I hope your talking about corruption. The elite seem to be the powers that be. I am personally disgusted when I hear these people that represent me (President/Congress/Senate) call me "average", as if to place me in a class separate from them. They work for the people. If you want to change your situation, change it. It is not up to the Gov to take care of us. It is not the effort of Gov. that makes us great it is it's wonderful, hardworking people.
Actually, they'll probably do away with medicare and medicaid first. Those are two very socialist programs that just waste tax payer money. Another thing Obama promised to do is reduce the taxes on the rich and on large corporations as well as outsource more government programs to private companies. Reagan started that and Obama is finishing the job.
This is no longer about Bush, This is about what teachers are doing to our kids in schools across the country. Patriotic to your country, a free nation as in saying the pledge or taking the oath to the constitution is not brainwashing your children. If you have school age kids, take a look at thier books they are bringing home. Look at what they are being taught. Look at the video "Stuff" and then put the puzzle together of whats happening in this country yourself. Forget the parties!
I just watched the video your talking about, and well I was disgusted..
Really disgusted, not by the song or the kids but by that news reported what is that some monkey run TV station.
Jesus that guys a let down to your nation Andrew, sort him out. A Bush was a better president then your current one. You can't really complain your talking about a nation that voted a guy in just because he was black.. if he was a white man he would never have won.
Like Felicia was saying today, the guy just needs to grow some balls.
I dont think he was voted in JUST because he was black however. Yes that was a factor but not the sole reason I believe he was also voted in because we all realized that we'd be even worse off with McCain in office
What Im upset about the most is the fact that we can praise him for being the first black president but we cant criticize him for the same. If criticizing him because hes black is racist, isnt praising him as well
Oh I dunno you got to be pretty blind to now see that the main reason he was voted for is because people wanted a black president was a large factor to his wining. I would not say McCain was that bad he would have done just as good a job as Obama hasn't.
But I mean come on he so won it because of his skin colour... it's obvious to the world..
Quality is shit, but not everyone has decent equipment, so unless you want to donate to him some good equipment stop complaining. some people work with what they have.
It is not just one song. We have seen the picture of Obama riding on a donkey and also seen him dressed in Jesus like garments with children crowded around .We have even seen him represented as the crucified Christ. He uses the title Renegade, and has a vehicle called the beast.. It might be wise for Obama to read Acts 12: 21-23
in the bible where it tells how King Herod
accepted the praise of the people saying,
"It is the voice of a god not a man." The Angel of the Lord smote him.
I THINK that what gaguy is trying to say is that indoctrination of this sort has historically been prevalent in dictatorships and communist countries. Namely, Nazi Germany. I don't pretend to know of a specific song that was sung, but I'm glad to see that you don't deny that it's wrong. If it were my child singing, I would be hysterical! It's unacceptable. I attend and catholic university currently, and will not EVER send my children to a public school.
It's one group of kids in one school in one district in one state.. get grip already.. and you don't take the pledge? Atheist or america hater? (sorry, Just quoting from the play book--of course..) Keep reading, read read read... either avoid politics or read. YOU have just been turned into a political puppet, my friend, THIS is the sad irony. Although, if you read through the comments of the original vid--you'll see sarcasm and irony to be lost on many folks now-a-days..
Atheist or America Hater: NEITHER! I will pledge my allegiance to our country any day! But, I will NOT pledge my allegiance to the flag itself. Call it stupid, but it IS an inanimate object. Regardless of what it symbolizes.
I was NOT turned into a political puppet. Is defending a child being political? I think not.
I do as well, as ACTUAL and not imagined indoctrination.. that's why i find the whole mess insanely hypocritical.. I'm from a fairly level headed area though.. only 18% republican.. but the dems here are less douchy.. so, no complaints about kumbaya or this little light of mine being sung in school.. no complaints about the pledge being said every morning IN COMBINATION with my country 'tis of thee.. No harm, no foul..
I'll agree with you that it's over the top. I don't see why someone would think it's necessary to spend school time and resources for such an endeavor, but I don't teach, so I can't say.
I didn't vote for Obama, never will. He's as much a part of the problem as Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr. Reagan, and the rest. I protested in the 60s against a war that was stupid and killing millions. THAT was wrong. A stupid song is somewhat innocuous in comparison. It's not a good thing, but no comparison.
Uh, no, gaguy. It was August, 1964, when the Gulf of Tonkin incident happened. Neither song influenced anyone to use that event.
There is no historical precedent anywhere that songs like this indoctinate people.
We are talking about the idea of one teacher with 18 kids. No Obama anyone did anything here. One school, one teacher, 18 kids. This has never led to anything in the history of mankind. One school, one teacher, 18 kids. Pretty trivial when you look at reality.
Look around on youtube. This is a lot more than one teacher and 18 kids. This sort of thing has happened more than once. But hey, a little fascism isnt bad if only 18 people are doing it right??
I have looked around. I have seen two. In fact, this one, which everyone in SEPTEMBER is declaiming happened almost 4 months ago. Why is an event that happened 4 months ago SUDDENLY really important?
Where are those that happened today? how about yesterday? how about last week?
btw, please don't throw around terms you don't seem to be familiar with. Please use Fascism correctly, or show how 1 school, 1 teacher, 18 kids, 1 time, is fascist.
Let me clarify something. I apologize if it seems like I'm picking on you. I'm not, believe me. I called you on a statement so you could see how it is to back something like that up.
Songs don't start that much by themselves. Some are catchier than others, that's all.
btw, I hated Soldier Boy. It was a stupid song. Green Beret was a good, tear-jerker and it came out just after John Wayne's movie, which was cool.
But not too many hippies joined up with Nixon because of that song
I guess you're saying that "America the Beautiful," is a fascist song.
fascism:
a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
You OBVIOUSLY don't understand fascism. This was not done by Obama, but a school teacher. Using words incorrectly IS NOT a sign of intelligence.
You argument about America the Beautiful is a nonsequitor.
Your definition of fascism is exactly where we are moving in the US under Obama and his brain-dead robots.
This song is a song that would be sung in a totalitarian country. It is fascistic nation.
Where were the children singing about JFK, FDR???? Where were the JFK T-shirts?? Never happened. Obama's supporters are caught in a cult of personality and will to give up the freedoms for dear leader.
You're right. The German song you mentioned is a NATIONAL ANTHEM. Therefore, the equivalent is the Star Spangled Banner. You are calling that a fascist song.
You are calling Obama a racist. Are you serious??
You don't have the first clue of a totalitarian society, that's obvious. You can post here. Not in a fascist society. The US is FAAAAR from being fascist and you are proving it because you can post.
You just don't understand. You haven't seen other societies.
Duestchland Uber Alles was also the anthem of Germany in WW2. Uber Alles and America the Beautiful have very different words.
Your logic is that if one anthem was fascist, then all must be. That is a logical fallacy and poorly constructed argument.
Youre obviously a very insecure and arrogant liberal. I havent seen other societies??? Dont make an ass of yourself. I bet Ive seen more of the world and read more history than youll ever see or do.
There is no song that inspires fascism, your first lie. The German song you cited is a national anthem, your second lie.
Your attempt at deconstructing me, though you don't know me, is nonsequiter. When you have lived in three countries, we'll talk.
Obama was voted in democratically. He speaks for Americans. He is the president. He has NO fascist tendencies. Your ignorance of the subject is no proof his ideology. Bush was more fascist than Obama. Patriot Act is proof.
I have lived in the USA, Canada and Australia.....LETS TALK.
Obama was elected democratically, but that doesnt mean he cant or wont destroy democratic institutions. Increasingly he doesnt speak for Americans. Not on healthcare and not on many of his policies
ahh..yes, we get to the root: Youre suffering BDS. Youll notice that Obama hasnt repealed the Patriot Act or ended any of the war in Iraq or Afghanistan or closed Gitmo or repealed warantless wiretaps.
This song inspired a cult of personality which is a element of all fascist societies. You took the cowards way out and never answered my question: Where were the JFK and FDR songs, t-Shirts???? Where were the Jimmy Carter posters in cities with a nice little fascist logo???
Obama has radically altered the traditions of american politics.
You're sick. The countries you cite are all cute, little White societies. No wonder you sound so racist.
Ever hear of Ike? I like Ike was a song by Irving Berlin. I guess Ike was a fascist.
Obama, as you have pointed out, has CONTINUED american politics of Bush. Your paranoia is the only thing that's changed. And judging by the comments on your page, there are many who seem to agree. You are paranoid. Obama was elected by the people. Go live in Burma, then talk.
I was also a part of a student exchange program to Japan/Korea and Taiwan in the 1980s...is that good enough for you little liberal??? Does it meet your approval????
How dare you call me a liberal. They are do-nothing whiners.
Your ignorance of fascism and insistence that Obama is fascist sounds like KKK drivel. That is racist talk.
You never heard of Ike, I take it. Czars were first put in by Reagan, brainless. Bush had 47 czars. I guess you have selective amnesia. Bush nationalized AIG and the banks. You don't remember Paulson either, I take it.
Just more racist, fascist talk by scared Whites. The comments on your page are very telling.
The difference is that I use my brain to think. There are Obama robots, agreed. And then there are paranoid fear-mongers like you who spout "the sky is falling" over anything to do with Obama.
He's just a friggin' president, just as corrupt as the others. People like you said, "Nixon wants to be king, be afraid." I remember the idiots. Same bs, different millennium. One teacher doesn't make "cult of personality". That's pure stupidity.
Not anything: Obama is different from all Presidents who came before, regardless of party. He is the first truly anti-American anti-Western President.
This isnt an isolated incident. you can see more right here on this site.
OOhhhhhhhh. "Obama is different from all Presidents." Be afraid, run, run, the sky is falling, help, help, Obama is different.
Show me what he (not the 0.001% of society that have made silly videos) has done to promote his move to fascism THAT OTHERS BEFORE HIM DIDN'T DO.
You already admit that he's following in Bush's foot steps. They both have Czars. They both look to cheat at the polls (Bush succeeded). They have the same policies. You have admitted that already.
He has nationalized the auto and banking industries. He is regulating pay. He has dissed allies UK, Israel, Honduras, Poland and Czech and wooed nations like Iran. Canada walked out of the UN when Iran spoke. Obama sides with Irans govt over its people. His followers treat him with a messianic adoration, which he does nothing to discourage. Again for the 3rd time, where were all the children singing about JFK, all the JFK t Shirts
BTW Bush didnt cheat in winning in 2000 or 2004 You do have BDS
How easy you forget what Paulson/Bush did in Sept, 2008. Auto/Bank? Paulson. But you have amnesia, so I forgive you.
He has dissed no one. He doesn't side with Iran, and in fact, they said that Obama "will pay for his words." They're upset with him.
His followers don't show any signs of messianic adoration and I don't understand your fascination about JFK. Is he some kind of litmus test for you? That's pretty stupid. If you're waiting for ONLY JFK, you're wasting your time.
LOL..I see for your statements before I got here that you dont approve of this song and didnt vote for Obama. But yet through my superior arguing skills, Ive got you sounding like an Obamabot....LOL
the fact that you have the arrogance to say to me ""When you have lived in three countries, we'll talk."" and I threw it back in your face, shows what an presumptuous ass and a fool you are.
Obams's actions the past 8 months are a huge departure from traditional american politics. Obama's idealogy is outside the american mainstream as it has been for the past 60 years. He is someone who deeply loathes western society. He isnt just anti-American, he is anti-Western. His mindset is that of a third world dictator.
A little sketchy!? Barack Obama is the worst president to ever come to power with his socialized healthcare, government interference, creation of war, and infringing people's personal liberty.

gaguy,
You're right.

I bet Ive seen more of the world and read more history than youll ever see or do.
gaguy1967 2 years ago
One doesnt have to be racist to be fascist. Peron was a fascist but I see no evidence he was racist.
Your arguments are poorly constructed and I can tell you are someone who is insecure and not confident with your thoughts.
Youre ignorance and pathetic attempt to defend this is amusing, but indicative of a sick and dying society

gaguy,
There is no song that inspires fascism, your first lie.

He has nationalized GM however.

This song inspired a cult of personality which is a element of all fascist societies. You took the cowards way out and never answered my question: Where were the JFK and FDR songs, t-Shirts???? Where were the Jimmy Carter posters in cities with a nice little fascist logo???
Obama has radically altered the traditions of american politics.
gaguy1967 2 years ago
You're sick. The countries you cite are all cute, little White societies. No wonder you sound so racist.
Ever hear of Ike? I like Ike was a song by Irving Berlin. I guess Ike was a fascist.
Obama, as you have pointed out, has CONTINUED american politics of Bush. Your paranoia is the only thing that's changed. And judging by the comments on your page, there are many who seem to agree. You are paranoid. Obama was elected by the people. Go live in Burma, then talk.
toeg1 2 years ago
Name one thing I said that is racist. The fact you think that all those three countries are the same reveals tremendous ignorance.
Obama has continued Bush's terror policies and added Czars, nationalization, and is trying to take away secret ballots for workers.
Sure Obama was elected by the people. Just like so many dictators. Just like Obama's kindered spirit Hugo Chavez.
No one was forced to sing I like Ike. Anyways dont you leftists think of the 1950s as fascist??
gaguy1967 2 years ago
I was also a part of a student exchange program to Japan/Korea and Taiwan in the 1980s...is that good enough for you little liberal??? Does it meet your approval????
gaguy1967 2 years ago
gaguy,
How dare you call me a liberal.
The comments on your page are very telling.
toeg1 2 years ago
Well youre a leftist then. Bush never had 47 Czars, he had 31. Reagan had a grand total of ONE.
What Bush didnt have was a car czar, a manufacturing czar and a pay czar.
Im glad youre calling me a racist. It means your intellectually bankrupt. Keep it up.
gaguy1967 2 years ago
gaguy,
The difference is that I use my brain to think.
That's pure stupidity.
toeg1 2 years ago
Not anything: Obama is different from all Presidents who came before, regardless of party. He is the first truly anti-American anti-Western President.
This isnt an isolated incident. you can see more right here on this site.
gaguy1967 2 years ago
gaguy,

BTW Bush didnt cheat in winning in 2000 or 2004 You do have BDS
gaguy1967 2 years ago
gaguy,
How easy you forget what Paulson/Bush did in Sept, 2008. Auto/Bank?

But yet through my superior arguing skills, Ive got you sounding like an Obamabot....LOL
gaguy1967 2 years ago
Why am I racist?? Because I disagree with Dear Leader??? sounds awfully fascist to me LOL
gaguy1967 2 years ago
the fact that you have the arrogance to say to me ""When you have lived in three countries, we'll talk."" and I threw it back in your face, shows what an presumptuous ass and a fool you are.
gaguy1967 2 years ago
Obams's actions the past 8 months are a huge departure from traditional american politics. Obama's idealogy is outside the american mainstream as it has been for the past 60 years. He is someone who deeply loathes western society. He isnt just anti-American, he is anti-Western. His mindset is that of a third world dictator.
