Sorrry this comment is a bit late now. What a shame Green Arrow isn't running again the last time i saw her was at the NYMR, Hope they will bring her back to running order again. well done and a nice film of the S&C.
It would be wonderful to see her on the mainline again at some point, she was always a very popular performer and very noisy too! Glad you enjoyed the video.
A great video of a great loco,in great locations,by one of a select group who never make a poor one, always entertaining, well made and lengthy, thanks to all of you (fired a few of these, but not at that speed)
I am just curious if there is a GAHRT. Those are the letters that would stand for Green Arrow Historical Restoration Trust. The engine like any other engine would need a fund to return to service.
Sadly, no such society exists (yet). The loco has a cracked cylinder and the National Railway Museum do not envisage a return to steam...but perhaps we should never say never.
Fabulous! The speed and nosie of it at Kirkby Stephen sends shivers down my spine. The sprinter with its lights glowing adds to the scene too. Ahh, maybe one day she'll be back!
Thanks, I always remember the Kirkby Stephen as it was bitterly cold but 4771 warmed things up. In the excitement I forgot to pick up my camera case but the signalman retrieved it and I collected it a week later!!

Thanks Vic, they were superb engines, such a shame we may never see 4771 on the mainline again.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, Kirkby Stephen was one of those right place in the right time moments that come along all too infrequently.
