A really cool house. A shame it is just rotting away. Someone with a little ambition should try to bring it back to its former good looks. It looks like it was a great place to raise a family.
THATS EXACTLY WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR! Unfortunately I don't live in Utah. Here in Oklahoma there really isn't anything like that left..."sad"... If you do find an old farm or ranch home restored they're priced so damn crazy your grandkids would be paying for it long after you'd be gone...haha...
I liked this tour through the old house. I too love the old homes and the attention to detail that was paid even in the little things like the flowers painted on the fireplace and the carved molding. Thank you for showing this. You did a good job :)
how do you assume this place is haunted? ( i myself think it's haunted ) but i've watched some videos of haunted places in utah, and it turns out i've been to quite a few places that are reportedly haunted. but how do you know it's haunted?
@mrsjennyjonas39 Sometimes people just up and leave a house and many things in it. There are all sorts of reasons why. It can stand for years with out anyone paying attention to it. I used to play with my friends in an abandoned house just behind some rentals that my mom lived in. There were a lot of things left in that house and we never touched or took any thing out of it. It was just something we didn't do. It was not ours so we left it alone. We just played there and had a lot of fun.
You do great videos. Very professional and in depth. A lot of these types of videos are people whipping the camera and around and just tearing through the rooms.
I also agree that it's sad to let old houses fall into disuse like that. They're still good, so why are they not used?
Thanks for the comment and insight. I should say it is a ranch house in the sense that it is and was a working ranch. It was a ranch before it was built, but your right the ranch style home is one floor.
Great video! I know where this was filmed. I believe you are in Pinto, UT. My family owns the Knell home next to the cemetery just down the road going west. Not hard to miss.
I absolutely love your videos! We need to meet up sometime. Utah history exploring is a huge hobby of mine.
OMG your so brave I could never go in there lol Im from NYC an the country freaks me out movies like wrong turn and deliverance lol. Plus all that open space an no one to hear you if something happens. Interesting video tho. Ooh and we have molding like that around our doors my mom had it put it she said its how it used to be back in those times :)
I lived in a house in Santaquin, UT and part was over 100 years old and the other "new" half was over 80 years old. The interior doors and staircase looks just like the house I lived in. I really believe that it was haunted up stairs. We only used it for storage...it freaked me out.
I'm sure there are, but none that I'm aware of. I'm currently living in Davis county. I have found many homes abandoned in my in bountiful and north salt lake, but always ask permission first. I've been turned down more than once, but oh well I tried.
You say not to many homes like that left in utah in your video.. hmmm.. you must not get out much. My house looks just like that one, sept liveable. Nice tour though

Beautiful house. I'm sure lots of people (myself included) would love to attempt to restore it, if the budget allowed.
