  • worst harmony part ever!

  • i luv it!! its like havin 18 wheels and a bottle of Jack! YEE HAAA!!!

  • Shana is a Southern Bell

  • I have to admit I was kind of dissapointed this was not about the Battle above the Clouds. However its a decent song so it wasn't a total waste of time.

  • This Band is For REAL....Best Sound Out there!

  • Prolly my favorite band but what happened to them did they split up?

  • @Wes2251

Nope. I mean, they already released an album earlier this year and just had a 'hit' compilation come out.

  • @Wes2251 hell no!

  • seeing this live was a life changing experience

  • Great Music!

  • Going tomorrow night to see my high school buddy Brad play the drums!!!!!!

  • 5 people are not good

  • seen these guys in byron bay australia, one of about 15 people watching the show dumb aussies don't know a good band even when its right in their mug. good time for me though love this f*cking band

  • this is awesome!

  • Jason looks like Christoper Walken in this one

  • in my town lexington i got to play the guitarist acoustic guitar awesome!

  • Isbell's aviators are awesome!

  • Nice Voice

    Nice Guitar

    Great Band !

  • This is how it should be- Isbell and Hood both singing on the same track! Don't get me wrong, it ain't that Patterson is a bad front man by himself but they are like Lennon/McCartney. They are amazing solo artists, but even better as a team.

  • @RastaMastaKonTiki

IMO DBT isn't half as good without Jason.

  • great song. the cameraman on this shoot was a complete idiot though. never catches on who's playing the guitar solo, amazingly dense.

  • Born and raised at the foot of Lookout Mountain, the Chattanooga/Lookout Valley end. I love this song.

  • cute as a button bassist

  • outstanding

  • This was the first song I ever heard from DBT and it got me intrigued. Check out Southern Rock Opera if you want to see what they can do in a long format. These guys tell a story of the south I grew up in and know today.

  • i really think that patterson should be the only one singing...the other voices are bad.

  • @upcheezy Are you crazy, cooley's great and loosing Isabell hurt me. That boy can sing and play a mean fucking guitar. What about Jaon and Mikes lyrics, obviously not a Trucker fan. Patterson has 2 great solo cd's, stick with that if you don't want "My Daddy played poker on a stump in the woods back in his younger day."

  • @upcheezy woah??

  • yeah DBT rocks come to holland pleeezzzeee !!!

  • Cheers to cleaner water around Lookout Mountain and throughout our blessed Tennessee River watershed!

  • Greatest new rock song.

  • its nice to have people that love the places and music that i live in. I'm not twenty minutes from zip city most of the tim and colbert county jailhouse. go by there to get my tags all the time. love these guys keep on rockin'

  • The Dirty South is badass for sure, but I'll always love Decoration Day, mainly for Sink Hole and The Deeper In.

  • Chick bass players are bad ass

  • Just listen to the Cobain - inspired "high-low" vocals... You can't tell me these guys don't have a Nirvana and a few Skynrd albums laying somewhere around...

  • Absolutely they do! and they would tell you so straight up!

  • in this day and age who doesn't.

  • the best way to describe this angst ridden stuff is Southern Grunge! This song is me word for word...

  • @mandibleclaw1979 You know Zip City? talk bout teen angst

  • "Calling it Southern Rock is like calling it Rock Rock, rock-n-roll is southern!" Gregg Allman said that, something like that.

  • very nice, great guitar work and vocals

  • Nothins more badass than their songs from the DIrty South. Best album hands down

  • Oh for Fuck sake! Cool your shite! Great RnR here, who gives a shite where it comes from! This isnt a Skrewdriver video! Im ashamed of all you fighting with each other when theres no fuckin' need!

  • God I can't believe they have these guys on YouTube! I'm so happy. My dad listens to these guys and I love 'em. The Dirty South and A Blessing & a Curse are my two favorite albums. Cooley has some of the biggest hands I've ever seen. Are these guys getting any bigger now? I havn't been paying attention. Now this is good Rock n' Roll. Screw Slipknot, this is probably the greatest Rock n' Roll band that is new. Sounds a lot like the Stones, not so much this song, bu Marry Me certainly does. DBT!!

  • I'm a life-long Yankee that loves the South and loves the Truckers even more!

  • One of the best parts of DBT is the guy in the glasses. He left the band unless you saw a guy with a bigger gut ....that was him before....Hank

  • Who's the punk in the glasses? I don't remeber him.

  • That's punk is Jason F'n Isbell who has put out two very good CD's since leaving the Truckers. Outfit, Decoration Day, Danko / Manual, God Damn Lonely Love.....just a few that he penned for the Truckers on three albums. Punk......he is not.... nice approachable guy, that he is. Check out Jason Isbell w The 400 Unit! Great Band.

  • Ok, ok, calm down don't get your panties all in a knott, now. Just asking a question.

  • Comment removed

  • I love Drive By Truckers! Awesome!!!

  • These guys are nasty good.. what are some of their other ass kicking songs? Songs that growl like this one i mean.. Im only familiar with this song and never gonna change

  • @curtwalske - Listen to The Great Southern Rock Opera. There are a half dozen songs that rock like this.

  • bah ha boom sha chika chika wah tah

  • Patterson Hood is the fucking shit. I'll mow the cemetery, dude. I'll mow for YOU.

  • Man, man, man. North, south, east, west. Who gives a fucking shit. This shit motherfucking rocks!!!!!!!!

  • Love the south ! this band is cool . Never heard it before .

  • By I'm born and raised in Virginia, so dont make a comeback about me being nothing but a yankee, cause I'm not.

  • Favorite DBT songs:

Five Bullets, Dead Drunk and Naked, Pretty Road Cases, Decoration Day, Mary Me, Sink Hole, Look Out Mtn., Let There Be Rock, Ronnie and Neal, CArl Perkins Cadillac.........

  • Make that NINE bullets...know that didn't look right.

  • you're a loser. read a book. stop caring what others think. go join a mega church. that suits you better. get a life. stop watching tv. get a real job. what are you? driving ms. daisy? must be nice. stay down there. keep livin in the past. lol jethro tull. don't come back. have a nice life.

  • i'm from the north. i hate the south. i hate what it represents. i hate the politicians. i hate how they vote. i hate how they hold back america. i hate how they contribute to negative stereotypes about america. i hate skynrd. i love neil young. i admire the ability of one man to stand up to the past and create a new path. i despise mobs and cults and groups of people and their inability to formulate independent, coherent thought. i hate followers & the church & sheep. but i like drive-by. :-)

  • I'm from the north but live in the south now, thanks for making northerners look like over opinionated bastards.

  • Dude how can you hate the south and love the truckers? The truckers are the fucking south! So go to hell if you dont like us you peice of shit yankey! (no offence cabby26)

  • Maybe he doesnt like egotisitcal pricks like you who think everyone above the Mason Dixie line is a yankee. The war is over get the fuck over it. Liking Southern music doesnt mean anything about actually being southern, its about the music. I do nt have anything against average normal southern people, its the ones like you who bother me.

  • q94sucks, I'm guessing you meant 'Mason Dixon Line.' No shit the war is over. Tell that to a northener not people in the south. I was born in the north but live in the south. I consider myself a southerner because people here are way more layed back and friendly. The north is a lot more uptight, close-minded, and racist than the south is any day of the week. I've met way more racists of various ethnic backgrounds in the north than in the south.

  • Did I say anyone was a racist anywhere? theres racisism everywhere. I know, I could of said the exact same thing about SOME people in the North (with the exception about music, since I have not heard anything called "Northern music") But the point I have nothing against people from anywhere as long as they are not assholes. And that guy was acting like an asshole.

  • fair enough, he probably is an asshole

  • cool

  • Dude i wasn't tryin' to step on anybody's' toes (except his) i was just trying to stress the fact that he was being a hypocrite for the "i hate the south i love the truckers" bit. I've got nothing against northerners at all; the yankee thing was just the only insult that i could come up with at the time. that's it.

  • I hear ya metalhead, no offense taken here

  • metalhead6964, no offense taken

  • Great song from a great album.

  • whose gonna pay for my credit card, whose gonna pay for my mistake - These guys are great. We saw them last year. They influence my friends band. You can check them out on myspace "The Royal Greens

  • So awesome

  • is this their best song? quite possibly...amazing live thanks for posting

  • Naw, their best (IMHO) is "Carl Perkin's Cadillac".

  • naah.

  • Good shit. Added to my "Jams" playlist.

  • Could you please check out my Trucker song "Tundra and Tacoma" and tell me what you thing.......Thanks for your time

  • These guys come closer to singing about my life than anyone else.

  • no shit, me too.

  • I'm an Alt. Country/Rock fanatic and I can't believe I missed the DBT boat all these years - well I'm getting on now!

  • This band is one of the best kept secrets out there. They aren't huge commercially but they are great and no one sounds like them.

  • gotta get to Gainesville immediately

  • Boy howdy, there just don't turn out to be much wrong with this band. I will mow the cemetery after yer family's gone, Patterson.

  • I used to be in a band with Brad back in the early 90's in Greenville S.C. I'm proud of him for holding onto his dream. Rock on bud...

  • Was it a metal band by chance?

  • Was it a metal band by chance?

  • New blood emerging from our beloved Dixie. Love this band.

  • the singer looks DRUNK

  • The singer IS drunk. That's why we love this band...

  • When I first heard about the truckers, I listened to a thirty second clip of Lookout Mountain on Itunes. I'll never forget hearing that opening lick for the first time.

  • Just saw them in Grand Rapids, MI. The sonic guitar assault is almost Who-like.

  • Heard about these guys from a friend,, DAMN!!

  • I moved back to Oregon from Fresno 2+ years ago. My 1st month home I found my car being trailed by a truck one night all through numerous turns. Pulled into a gas station to see what was up. It was another guy a few years older than me. He pointed at my bumper sticker and said "Drive-By Truckers Rock!" Guy knew what he was talking about!

  • sounds like a neil young song

  • @eker Yes it does, however its the guitars, the drums and the Bass only....... the frazing of the vocals is TOTALLY differente!!!

  • gosh this is the greatest band ever!!!!!

    Thank you for sharing!

  • This band sets the standard - this one and many more will pin your ears back - live at the Rock Show !!!!

  • Hey man do you know the name of the song by them that includes some lyrics about staying away form the needle and calling on his sisters birthday?

  • yeah, that tune is "Outfit" from Decoration Day, arguably their best. It's an Isbell song, so they dont play it live no more....

  • oh ok thanks alot

  • this song rocks live and so does sink hole

  • The new Marshall Tucker band. Anyone else agree? It's good stuff.

  • I spend all day everyday at the foot of Lookout Mtn, but it don't sound quite this good...

  • i met these guys at a privet party and went on there big ass bus with 4 rooms 6 plasma screen tvs and 3 bath rooms.

  • baddass muthafucking rock n roll! seen them twice and hope to see them again. makes me wish i was from the dirty south

  • I fuckin love these guys!!!
