  • I would put it out of it's pain and suffering

  • Poor spider. I lost a blue fang to an unknown cause. Had fluid coming out of the mouth but no milkish white stuff. Might send the specimen off to be examined.

  • Farther back, would they give the mouth a whiteish color?

My tarantula died recently and not only did it vomit a white liquid over my hands when I lifted it's body from the ICU, it had a white mouth. I didn't get a really close look at it, but does that sound like nematodes?

  • Poor thing :(

  • Does anyone know if Kerry Gowin ever concluded anything from her research with theraphosid nematode infections in her lab?

  • dang nematodes! (spongebob refrence)

  • You're looking at her mouth.. those tiny worms infest their mouth.

  • Aww... poor thing.. I hope we find a cure for them some day, good thing it's not common..

  • Video is very good for educational purposes. I didn't realize nemotodes were that small and plentiful. What species is she? its a shame some one can't find a cure for nemotodes:(

  • Yeah, like I said it's a closeup video of the mouth of a Tarantula that has been infested with nematodes and ultimately died as a result. The nematodes are the little worms that are moving. Other than that, nothing real exciting about it.

  • @goliathspiders can they kill us

  • yeah all i see is moving things that are supposedly nematodes...

  • You are looking at the mouth parts of the tarantula under 60 power video microscope.
