I wish Leighton Meester was available for Kelly's role. Hear me out! A pre-Gossip Girl Leighton...I mean, she was awesome in supporting parts in Veronica Mars, Entourage, and House. There was a lot more to the character than that, and she probably would have been the breakout favorite, I think. Not all good, but certainly not all bad. The script was especially strong at showing different sides to everyone (particularly for a pilot), and Gabrielle Union would have done a really good job with Jessica.

This show is much better then anything The CW picked up. Their problem is they are so focused on series involving pretty rich people and their teen demographic they don't even bother branching out. That will hurt the network in the long run considering how small the female teen viewing base is and the fact that most teens watch tv online now and not on tv. I hope it does get picked up for mid season so far the only show I watch is Supernatural now that they canceled Reaper.
